Boy's Dream Hotel
by HoustonTexReview , Citysearch Contributor
I've stayed here twice and it's rated as a 4-star on Priceline. I actually made bids and got the rooms for $50.
If you like forest green, rust, and maroon as a color pallete, you will like the decor here. Each room has a baseball/country theme and sketches of baseball players dropping balls, picking up balls, swinging, etc.
My room was very clean and had newish furniture, but it's too masculine.
The lobby reminds me of an office building center lobby.
Valet is expensive here. The location of the hotel is a long and possibly unsafe walk to Houston Pavillions and Main Street.
- Pros: By the Ball Park
- Cons: Not romantic; Parking
Noisy expensive Bad Neighborhood
by Oregon Native
The atrium room we had did not shield us from the noise of the drunks in the bar downstairs till one in the morning. Room was ok, but for 600 for 3 nights, I expect quiet and a neighborhood that was not full of crazy street people. 2 blocks from a feeding shelter, this place should come with a warining label. Drunks will love this place.
- Pros: None that I found
- Cons: many
Business travelers and sports fans lead off the lineup at this downtown hotel for the luxury-box crowd.

In Short
Across the street from Minute Maid Park, the Inn is one of downtown's most modern and attractive buildings. Its 201 rooms and suites feature contemporary decor, leather chairs and large desks with high-speed Internet access. Lobby-level meeting rooms have large windows and wireless Web access. Guests can enjoy several area restaurants, plus the on-site Vic & Anthony's Steakhouse, known for its upscale atmosphere and prime steaks and seafood.
Best Hotel In Houston

I stayed at the Inn at the Ballpark over Memorial Day weekend and I have to say, this is one of the nicest hotels in Houston. The views are great and the service is great. The rooms were fantastic, with great furnishings. We plan to make a return trip before the end of the summer.
- Pros: Service, Inexpensive, Views
