Losing my lovin feeling

I sure hope they try to kick this place up a notch again. As an east side resident, I have been dining here since they opened but the food is just not as good as it used to be. Still a thousand times better then the chain Panda Express down the street, but I hope they make whatever changes are needed to improve their quality. Staff is always very nice and surprisingly attentive for a restaurant that stays pretty busy.

I've been at 888 several time and i gotto say its seriously a good chinese place. I usually go the Lai Lai dumpling house but i decided to try this place...it not the most inviting place on the outside but it completely changed once youre inside...its relatively small but they make it work. the service is good most times. the food i REALLY good. what ever it is you order, i guarantee is going to be nothing less than good. I dont personally drink but you im sure you can get all sorts of different drinks judging by the big bar they have near the entrance. Ive read people say its crowded at lunch...well ive been there twice for lunch and ive gotten a seat with no wait, maybe i just lucked out. the lunch special is REALLY good for the price. overall i love this place, its cozy, its got great food, and its always a pleasant experience.

Great chinese food

They have great lunch special. I usually ordered to go from their Chinese menu. I love everything I tried so far. My husband loves their General Tao chicken. Great fried rice too. It can get pretty crowded during lunch.

Best Chinese food in Houston!

The food here is fantastic! I order delivery from here at least once a month because the prices are great and the portions are generous. My personal favorite is the Beef with Asparagus. Their attention to detail is phenomenal, they even cut their carrots length-wise (the correct way)!

The seafood soup has a latin flavor, reminds me of the soup my mom makes.

Highly recommended!

Great food

I've been here more than a dozen times and am never disappointed. Great General TSO, lomein, wonton soup and egg rolls. Nice ambiance usually pretty busy. Good family style portions and prices.

BEST Chinese restaurant in town.

I highly recommend any dish with garlic sauce. I've convinced several people to go there who don't think highly of chinese food and they like it and have returned. This is not your typical americanized chinese food, e.g. PeiWei or PF Changs, this is the real thing. Everything is fresh. No mystery meat either. Waitstaff and owners are all friendly. I will add that sometimes it is crowded but the wait is worth it. Prices are all very reasonable especially for such high quality food.

Great food for your money

I really like this place. My favorite item on the menu is the traditional Sweet and Sour Chicken. I never can eat the whole thing and I end up having some left over for later. I also like to get the large Wonton soup. It's enough for two meals and it only costs $2. That's a great bargin. They give you a good portion of food for your money.
