Fabulous

by jltalley at Citysearch

The buffet is extensive and very much worth the price tag for the restaurant. Atmosphere and wait staff were spectacular. Great to enjoy a comfortable, delicious meal before the game and watch the pre-game activities.

Pre-show Gourmet Buffet!

by pinoyvlf at Citysearch

If you happen to be watching a show or a basketball game at the Toyota Center, I recommend definitely checking out the Red and White Wine Bistro. The please is romantic and gives you a nice overview of the stage area as the players warm up or the the performers of the show get ready. The wine list is large enough to have you ask your waiter/waitress for a recommendation... and the will probably have one for your tastes. Now the food... oh the food... is some of the best food I have ever tasted at a buffet. This is one buffet that you want to keep trying to get your fill in, but don't forget that there is dessert! The dessert options are vast will have your mouth water as you try to put as many different kinds of dessert on your plate. The only catch is taht the price to this place is by far from cheap, but eh... a buffet like this is worth it. The place itself can be romantic, but can still cater towads large groups as well. I highly recommend coming here before you check out a show at the Toyota Center.

  • Pros: Awesome buffet with a view of the Toyota Center
  • Cons: A tad pricey but for a buffet it is worth... just get your fill in :). I think you have to have tickets to the show/game to make reservations... and you HAVE to make reservations

Great Experience at Toyota Center

by shervinj at Citysearch

I gave it a 9.5 because the food selection at this environment was awesome. Some things on the menu need some work. They served the wrong time of rice with the beef curry, but that is okay. Overall the restaurant was great. Very attentive service, great view of the game and the food was great. The face value of the ticket was 95 dollars. Considering that you get this great all you can eat buffet and a club level seat I think it is a good deal. It is not an every game kind of place but it is a great place to treat yourself.

  • Pros: Service, food selection, taste
  • Cons: Slightly pricey

A unique dining experience inside Houston's Toyota Center, with steaks, seafood, homemade desserts and a world-class wine list.

by Contributor at Citysearch

In Short
The Toyota Center delivers with an upmarket, 175-seat restaurant. This lively Lower Suite-level bistro features American-, French-, Asian- and Creole-influenced cuisine, classic decor and an open-air kitchen. Appetizers such as roasted mushrooms and Gulf coast shrimp are crowd pleasers, as are entrees like filet mignon and pan-seared snapper. The buffet, featuring an all-star lineup of American and Asian delights, is a hit with the slightly more budget-conscious Rockets fan.

Diner's Dream!

by mlocker at Citysearch

I was visiting Houston from out-of-town, and a friend told me that I HAD to stop by Red & White Wine Bistro while I was in town. Boy was I impressed!

The wine selection was great. It complimented the meal well, and staff was very knowledgable in helping me chose the right bottle. I never expected such wonderful food (and service) at ball game.

It was definitely an exciting experience to sit and eat (but not be disturbed) while watching the game. Too bad the Rockets lost!

What a great way to watch a game! Amazing food, great service and the "ledge" provides a pretty unique view of everything...to bad we lost!

I would never have expected to get such good food at a basketball game. I ate at the chef's table, which was sort of like a buffet, but it had all kinds of different food at different stations. The wine selection was also not what you would expect to find at an arena...and my waiter halped me pick a good, fairly priced bottle to try.

Cool place - would highly recommend any basketball fan or food lover give it a try.

  • Pros: Great ambience, Great view of game, Great service

Exceptional!!

by ed_ross at Citysearch

One bite into my seared ahi tuna, I forgot about the nachos, hot dogs, and peanuts I put away in the Compaq Center and Summit. Finally, you don't have to be Charles Barkley to take your food as seriously as you do your basketball....

I had the ahi and my date the Chef's Table, which is all-you-can-eat steak, sushi, Tex-Mex, Chinese, Italian, fruits & vegetables, etc..... All of it was extraordinary.

Its elegant layout makes the restaurant a tranquil perch to watch the game. The servers were efficient and blended into the background. I was pampered. It was a first-class experience...

Eating there was like going out to a laid back, first-class restaurant with an added sense of excitement coming from the game. I hope the Rockets do very well this season--but my opinion is that this restaurant had its playoff spot clinched since the beginning of the year...

  • Pros: Great value, Hot spot, Very clean
  • Cons: , Helps to reserve spot

Tops!

by dat_darg at Citysearch

Who would've guessed you could still have such an exceptional value in an arena?

The food, service, and atmosphere were fantastic. We've been there for lunch and dinner on three occasions; each time was topflight, A+. We especially enjoyed the buffet selection--all-you-can-eat smorgasbord of every variety of food, all fresh and delicious. Something tasty for everybody.... Also, it helps that the staff was extraordinarily attentive (though my eyes were on the game).

The space is amazing and a perfect place for business or pleasure, in my opinion. The buzz about it is totally justified, and we will return again.

  • Pros: Delicious, Good value, Service
  • Cons: , Not open all week
