Brazilian keratin treatment

I have very curly hair, which literally went out of control when I moved to humid Houston. Following Charles’ advice, I had a Brazilian keratin treatment done at Dessange’s and I am very pleased with the result.

It actually took two treatments to achieve long-lasting results on my hair. The first treatment did not live up to the promise in terms of lasting. Although my hair looked great at first, frizz was back after a couple of weeks – but then again I have VERY curly hair. I gave Charles a call and he immediately offered to redo the whole process for free the same day. This time it went right and I have been enjoying smooth, shiny and frizz-free hair, relaxed and easy to discipline curls (which I can also easily straighten with my CHI) for more than two months now.

The treatment is not cheap, but is in my opinion definitely worth the money, especially considering that you may expect results to last up to four months.

• Pros: Great and long-lasting results
• Cons: Pricey but worth the money

Good Facials

I love Oksana, she gives the best facials.....but she's not there anymore. I guess I have to find a new spa or at least find Oksana. I think I read on another site she's at Bergamos. I guess I'll try there.

Great customer service

The bad reviews must be coming from jealous salon/spa owners because I go to this Salon almost every other month to get my haircut and never leave unsatisfied. I don't know about all the receptionists but the one that works there on saturdays is conversational and polite. I notice that the owner makes routine checks to insure that all the customers are satisfied. I couldn't ask for better service. The best part is that everyone there speaks either french, spanish, or english. Most of them speak at least two or three! Besides that, they have great haircutters and I'm always pleased with my wax and facial.

Classy Salon

I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the friendliness of the staff. The salon is very elegant and well-managed, but my haircut did not meet my expectations. It is not bad, but when you pay over $150 just for the haircut you expect it to look that way. Mine just looks like a cute simple cut from Visible Changes... I heard that if you really want the highest quality, go to Charles. He is more expensive than the rest of the stylists but he is worth it. I wish I went to see him because I observed his work and he is very-very high quality...

Great facials!

I have had the best facials, eyebrow waxes, and eyelash extensions from Oksana at Jacques Dessange. She is super sweet and always does a great job. Not sure why the bad reviews on the service...the staff has always been friendly and helpful.

Great Hair Cuts

Okay maybe the ' rudeness" that everyone writes about is because these people are FRENCH. I have noticed that French people tend to be sort of snobby, dont forget they are not Texas home grown nor do they have Southern hospitality.

Monika did my hair cut and I was VERY pleased with my style. She spent an enormous amount of time cutting my hair and getting it just right. I was very happy with the cut. All of my friends loved my hair cut and said I looked 10 years younger. One of my friends loved it so much she came to Monika to get her hair cut as well and also loved it.

• Pros: great short hair styles from Monika, staff makes a good effort to correct any problems.
• Cons: only one kind of highlite technique, they refuse to do anything else.

jacques dessange is the best place to get your hair and facial done . Dont listen to the other people who say bad things about this salon ,because i got my hair done there by mimi she did an terrific job she listen to what i wanted and gave me advice about my hair ... that place is the best in town ...GO to that place and you will see my point of view . SO go to jacques dessange and see what i am talking about !!!

Natalie did a great job with my hair - best cut I ever had and she convinced me to change the color. I never looked that young (too bad hair is growing tooooooo fast after her haircut::))).

The best color and haircut ever!

I am shocked by the negative reviews because my experience at Jacques Dessange Spa was amazing. I had my hair colored and cut and I literally have never had such a fabulous job done on my hair. The highlights and color were done so that I don't need to get my hair colored so often and I never have a bad hair day. Charles is amazing and I would recommend this spa to all my friends.

Funny how out of 3-5 bad reviews, a generic "good" one will appear.... The good ones cannot be real.

The service is terrible, the receptionist is so rude I can't imagine they're still in business, and I'm a friend of a friend of the owner's wife. My hair cut is not working for me at all. I will not return.
