This haute spot has experienced a resurgence in popularity, luring the after-gala set back to its pub-like environs.

The Scene
Rich, oiled wood paneling helps create the dark tones perfect for puffing on a fine cigar from the hotel's humidor and sipping a single malt. This masculine paradise is complete with lush bronze fixtures; original, contemporary artwork; and a smooth coat of elegance extending from the St. Regis Hotel lobby straight into the bar. To the under-40 set, the bar may feel stuffy, but that may be the point. A live jazz trio pipes in spontaneity on weekend nights.
The Draw
Like other upscale hotel bars, you may spot a bold-faced name here or there, though the regulars are more likely to show up on the local gossip sheets than the national ones. The signature bartender, known simply as Harry, has won innumerable awards for his infused vodka martinis.
Ole legends in View
by sallysis
Truly a place for the ole legends of the city to come out too....Age range from 25 to 90, leaning more to the baby boomers..the music was good but the dance floor, if you can call it a dance floor, is small and the people are moving at slow speed.

Where adults go
by janithan
The Remington Bar in the St. Regis Hotel is an adult haven. The place to go for friendly sophistication, superb food and drinks.
An Exclusive Club
by hchase
I've never been much of a bar person, but after patronizing the St. Regis and the Remington Grill for a number of months, I finally wandered into the Bar, which is a separate ordeal from the dining area. The bartender, Harry, has been there for 15 years and serves with the subtle, smooth aplomb that few bartenders have anymore. The dark paneling and high-class clientele really add an ambience that suggests a certain timelessness. It is a true gem, and one I shall patronize for a long time to come. The Bar is definitely a world of its own.
