More than just flowers

It's a real pleasure to talk with someone not knowing what you really want and they go beyond just trying to sell you flowers. The arrangement was beautiful and suggestions the were greatly appreciated.

I placed and order for flowers to go to my wife at work,
they were delivered on time and she and i were pleased
with the arrangement that was sent ,I was unsure of what i wanted to send and said I would leave it up to the designer, the order total was 150.00 plus tax and delivery, I have to say GREAT Job. I will be using them for all my future orders. Thanks again!! for the Beautiful Arrangement.

Worse Florist in Houston
by Htown1234 at Citysearch
A bouquet of flowers was delivered to my office. My husband was charged husband $105.00 for a small bouquet of flowers that was at most worth $40.00 w/out delivery. My husband had requested something completely different than what was delivered. After contacting the florist about over charging the florist contacted my husband via voice mail and offered to redo the arrangement. I received a new arrangement of purple orchids...not $105.00 worth. Then the gentlemen delivering the flowers walked behind my desk and took the original flower delivery and the card attached. The florist has not returned our phone calls and has made no attempt to credit our account. This company is very UN professional and I will be contacting better business bureau.
- Pros: Overpriced and bad communication

Best Flower shop in Houston
by ashcat at Citysearch
I brought my wife some flowers from there, and I had no idea what I wanted, so I let the florist do their job. Once my wife received the flowers the look on her face was priceless. The florist really know what I wanted without me having to say anything. Thanks Abby's for making my wife's day.
- Pros: Very friendly and helpful
- Cons: Just say the occassion, and let them the rest

I order all of my flowers from Abby's for every occassion and will always order from them. I can just tell them what I want and it is always beyond my expectation. My mind is always blown away by them. The managers at the shop are so customer friendly and eager to help you, they make you want to keep coming back for more. I have told all of my family and friend about them. And now I will tell if you want to go some where and feel special, loved, apprecaited, overwhelmed, and get great service then Abby's Flowers and Gifts is the place to go. Make sure you go there for your loved ones.
- Pros: Great customer service very eager to help
WORST FLOWER SHOP EVER. WOULD NEVER ORDER FROM AGAIN.
by rockelita at Citysearch
I live in Austin, and wanted to send flowers to my mother-in-law at her office half a block away from this shop. I read some reviews here to see that people were pleased with the service, and decided it would be worth a shot since it is so close to where it would be delivered. I called on Mother's Day, assuming they were not open, and I was connected to a florist answering service. I placed an order with the woman on the phone, and she sounded like she was competent. They had a special, 30 tulips in a galvanized pail for 59.99 total. Sounded great.
I called the next morning to make sure the order had been received and I wanted to ensure it would be delivered that morning or afternoon. The man on the phone said, "Tulips, right?" I said yes. He said, "Where did you hear about these?" I said that the woman had offered it as a special with 30 tulips. He said it would be delivered by 4pm.
So, I get an email from my mother in law saying she received some purple roses this afternoon. She was suprised and so was I. Purple roses? Not even close to what I ordered. I personally do not think purple roses are very pretty, and being a mom, I know she enjoyed them. I am frustrated that my order was NOT AT ALL what I ordered.
Now, I am trying to reach the shop, and they are unable to be reached. It turns out, they have their forwarding serice turned on every day, all day long. Of course the answering service can take orders, but can not deal with orders that are incorrect. So, what do I do now? I wait until they actually call me back, which I know will not happen today since they close soon. Or, I drive down to Houston and actually speak with a person. $60 for some purple roses I did not order. I will tell everyone I know about my horrible experience.
- Pros: NOTHING.
- Cons: terrible customer service, unable to be reached, placing WRONG orders
