Tanning lotion would have worked better

I planned on getting spray tanned for my wedding so I went in for a trial run about a month ahead - thank god because it came out horrible. I have tan lines on both my wrists, big circles under my arms; my hands were totally missed and on my feet, some parts got sprayed and other parts didn't. What parts they did spray were waaay too dark for me (or anyone really) and it even looked orange and noticably fake! Now that my tan has been fading it looks even worse. It's not fading evenly - it's all splotchy so my skin looks bruised or something. I will not be returning ever again. I think I'd rather apply tanning lotion than trust these people again.

This points up the importance of coming to the salon freshly showered or, if that's not possible, spend the extra $5 on the exfoliating spray. It makes a huge difference. The solution won't absorb evenly on dirty or sweaty skin. Also true for lotion, moisturizers, perfume, etc. It's important that you come for with your skin clean and dry or allow us to do the exfoliating spray to take care of that. We give these instructions to every new customer, but sometimes it does not go through.

BEST TAN EVER!!!!

I have a membership for the spray booth & it is the most natural looking tan ever! Sooooo much better than the Mystic, in my opinion. The staff is very friendly and professional. I recently had an airbrush tan b/c I was going on a cruise and it looked SO awesome! It lasted me pretty much for the entire week! This place is great!! I definitely recommend the airbrushing service if you have a special occasion. A++++

UV or Sunless Tanning, Eclipse is the BEST in town

Initially, I started going to Eclipse almost a year ago for their exceptional UV beds. You can get a better tan in 10 mins in their intermediate or "gold beds" than you can going for 20 mins in some of the top level beds of other salons. They have a great stand-up bed too, if you don't like laying down. The rooms are ALWAYS clean with fresh towels and free disposable eye protection.

After a few weeks of UV tanning I became curious about the airbrush tanning that this place seems famous for. The manager and staff eagerly explained the whole process and equipment to me, and I decided to give it a try.

The manager herself applied my 1st airbrush and I couldn't believe the results! When my friends all started raving and accusing me of taking an impromptu trip to Mexico, I knew airbrushing was my new favorite way to tan, AND it's 100% safe for my skin.

The staff here are extremely friendly while being totally professional, and they know me (and all of the other customers) by name. They have great products and lotions too, and no one tries to pressure sell you crap you don't need.

Bottom line: this is the only tanning salon for me. I've recommended it to family and friends and they're all hooked now too. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Great place and quick in and out!

Great friendly staff! The place is ALWAYS clean. The beds always have all the bulbs working and are CLEAN. There is always a clean towel and disposible eye protection waiting. I used to tan at one of the big chains. It was closer to my home but it was horrible. A friend recommended Eclipse and I have been going for almost three years now! The manager is nice and friendly and they recognize me and know my name when I walk in. In fact they currently have the best staff working there in all of the three years I have been going. If you want to buy products they will help you if not they DO NOT push them on you. It is a VERY casual and relaxed enviornment. I call it my 15 minutes of relaxation on my private island, because it is.

Love these girls!

Ok let me start off saying that i have never be air brushed before and I was a little scared I was going to look orange but a friend told me about it so i went ahead and did it right before my sisters graduation. I was air brushed by Debbie and she was very professional (i have never been naked in front of another person besides my boyfriend). She made me feel very comfortable and everything was very clean and neat.

And oh the best part! My tan looked awesome! I got soooo many compliments on how bronzy i looked! I loved it, and i owe it all to Debbie and the girls at Eclipse!

Great place for a tan

I was a novice at sunless tanning, but the girls at Eclipse went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and explain how the process would work. I had a special event to attend and wanted to improve the look of my tired white legs. My tan looked great and I had blast. Thanks Eclipse!

I have been a customer at Eclipse since they opened. They are such nice people and take such good care of their clients. The tanning beds are super comfortable, and big! The fans work really well, so you stay cool. The place is always very clean and I feel extremely comfortable there.

I think their prices are better than anywhere else I've gone in Houston and they don't try to keep you hostage forever. I guess they don't have to.

I recommend them to all my friends in the area...even if they just work downtown, it's so easy to stop by on the way home!

The manager is rude and unprofessional, be ready to hear endless gossip about her life, and everyone elses. the "techs "are un-qualified, the airbursh technigue is dated, the beds are dirty, the venilation in the air bursh room is poorly venilated. The bulbs are often out, and there is usually a wait, this location was meant to be a shop, not a tanning store, there is always a wait for there limited choice of beds..

Wish I knew about this place earlier

I've driven past Eclipse a million times and never went, since I was "under contract" to Darque Tan. Once I finally got out of that, I checked this place out. They're great. I'm fair skinned and freckled and don't tan well in beds, but Eclipse offers airbrush tanning. I gave it a try, and it was great! It's the darkest I've ever been, and much safer, too. I've done it a few times already and still use their beds, but not nearly as often, just enough to keep some "real" color. It lasts me about a week, so I just try to go every week or so for the airbrush and whenever I can for the beds. Really nice employees. Bang-up job!

Never will go back for a spray tan!

I came here for a bridal tan, it was awful, and orange, I was airbrushed by the manager, it defintally wasn't my skin type, I was sprayed at Spa Nordstrom and my skin took it so well. Anyway I will never ever go back to this place, and the atmosphere was soooo negative! I STRONGLY SUGGEST ELSEWHERE!
