Best Fajitas ever!

by Minetoo

Poblano's has changed to Fajita Pete's and moved to Bellaire. The fajitas are still the best, but now they deliver as well! They are at the same phone number as Poblano's. Try them out!

  • Pros: The best fajitas ever

Poblanos Mexican Grill and Cantina

by teacher50

WOW!!! This is the best Mexican food I have ever tasted! The atmosphere is friendly and homey, especially when co-owner Mama Rosa is the building! The beef fajitas are incredible, but so is everything on the menu. You can't go wrong by going to Poblano's. We had our son's wedding reception at the restaurant and go there once a week (for 5 YEARS1!).

  • Pros: The food is incredible!!! It is very affordable, too.

Chicken Enchiladas

by MM1970

I love to eat at Poblanos. The food is excellent, especially the lunch chicken enchiladas. Very reasonable price for the superb quality of the food. I love the fact that it's family owned by such wonderful people... both Pedro and Rosa are very nice. I would highly recommend eating here if your ever in the Meyerland Area.

  • Pros: Great Value
  • Cons: none

THE ABSOLUTE BEST Mexican food in Houston!

by katydid925

The beef dishes here are miraculous, but the chicken is pretty amazing too. The spinach enchiladas are also great. They are the best way to get veggies on this menu, and include that same wonderful sauce that comes with the chips. The margaritas at Poblanos are the best I've had. They use fresh-squeezed lime juice instead of oversugared Margarita Mix most restraunts use.

Also perhaps the most family-friendly restraunt ever, and I noticed that BEFORE I had kids. When it first opened, I couldn't help but notice that it was full of families with children of all ages, and all the children were happy and WELL-BEHAVED. By emphasizing the family-friendly part, I also wouldn't discourage childless people to go. It's a great spot for everybody. They accomodate the families with children, so the kids don't bother other customers.

  • Pros: diet-buster :-)
  • Cons: Amazing service, Even better food, Friendly atmosphere

Not a week goes by without a Poblanos visit!

by mousermedia

My husband and I have been going to this restaurant since it opened. It quickly became our favorite Mexican restaurant in Houston! Great food, great service, comfy ambience. Wonderful place for kids. Rosa, an owner, always makes it a point to come by our table and greet us. Our water glasses and tea glasses never have a chance to get empty. And the green sauce that comes with the chips is TO DIE FOR. I love it, as does our 20-month-old son; given a chance, he'll eat it with a spoon! Fajitas are tantalizing and mouth-watering; enchiladas are fresh and flavorful. My favorite: the Jason's Muchos Combo, an off-the-menu item that includes fajitas, a taco, a tamale, and an enchilada. Did I mention the great prices? And the chips? And the GREEN SAUCE?

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE

It is now spring of 2007 and, guess what, this is still our favorite Mexican restaurant. Our son is now 3 and has graduated to eating tacos al carbon (though he'll still guzzle green sauce if we give him a chance, no spoon required). I'm almost done with my MBA and suspect I'll have my graduation party here. The Jasons Muchos Combo has now become a regular menu item (yes!) and it is still delicious. Same great place for kids, same wonderful Rosa. Long live Poblanos!

Best Mexican Food and Service in Town

by deewigal

This is the best little restaurant in Houston. The food, the service and the prices can not be beat. The owner "Mama" makes you feel at home and greets all her customers when she can get out of the kitchen. I have been there with as few as two people and as many as twenty two. The service is always great as well as the food. I highly recommend this restaurant.

  • Pros: Inexpensive, g, Great service
  • Cons: None, None, None

Great Mexican food

Poblano's is a little known Mexican restaurant tucked away in Meyer Park. It quickly has become one of my favorite spots. Generous portions, reasonable prices, friendly service, and the best fajitas in town combine to make it a great experience.

  • Pros: Great food, Easy parking, Not crowded
