Amazing Breakfast
by shaneosborn
My fiance and I went here for brunch on Sunday. We arrived at 9:45 am and we had to wait about ten minutes, which was not bad at all. However, by the time we left, the line was all the way around the building. I had the chicken and waffles, which were absolutely amazing. My fiance had eggs, sausage, and potatoes, which were also phenomenal. It was by far the best brunch we have ever had, and we weren't even drinking!
- Pros: Extremely good food and price.
- Cons: Could be a long wait, depending on the time.
A good, solid breakfast

I always eat the same thing, eggs and sides, so I can't give a full review, but what I have is very good. The place is a lot of fun and the people watching is great. I reccommend.
- Pros: The food
- Cons: Parking can be dicey

My wife and I recently had breakfast here. Since we were visiting from LA, we had to try a bunch of things. But whether it was the Catfish and grits, the wings and waffles or even the nice twist on the biscuits and gravy, this place puts a special spin on some good ol' down home cooking.
- Pros: Unique soul food
- Cons: parking
Don't knock til you try it!

Catfish and grits...whoever heard of that, but once you taste the breakfast club' entree... You are hooked! Yes they are pricey but you get a lot of food! Everytime I go, a carryout leaves with me. The breakfast klub is better than dennys's, ihop or whatever is commericalized! I just wish they were open longer.
Great Catfish and grits

Waited in line for 20 minutes but the line was moving pretty fast. After we placed our orders and before we even sat down our food were already at our table. That is how fast they are. The food was great. I had the wing and waffle and my husband had the catfish and grits. The grits is just perfect. The catfish and wings are a little bit on the saltier side but I love it. The potatoes are seasoned just right. The waffle and biscuit are ok. The price is not cheap but it is well worth it. They gave you a lot of food.
Even though the place is very busy but we don?t have a problem to find a table. The only problem we have is since they are so busy and so many people waiting and you tend to feel like to rush your meal. I will definitely eat here more often only if I do not have to watch my cholesterol.
- Pros: Great Food and Friendly staff
- Cons: Long wait and Parking
Excellent, but a little pricey!

We went to the Breakfast Klub for the first time this morning. And I must say as far as the food was concerned we were not disappointed. The atmosphere and service was also very good. I'm only giving it 4 stars however just due to the cost. For a family of 4 (one child ate a la carte) it cost us almost $50 - yikes! I would not normally expect to pay so much for a breakfast and because of that we won't be back very often. One thing which I thought was over priced was the Breakfast Klub - $9.05, which on its own may not have been too bad, it certainly was delish, but my hubby added a side of breakfast potatoes and that added an additional $2.50. The coffee was also pricey at almost $3 per cup - I could get Starbucks for less than that. Having said that, our daughter had pancakes with fresh strawberries (an extra $1.55) but the strawberries were so delicious. Where do they get such good strawberries in the middle of December? All in all we enjoyed our visit and it will be a special treat in the future, but unfortunately could not afford to come regularly.
- Pros: food is delicious, service great
- Cons: expensive for breakfast, parking inadequate
Best Breakfast in Houston with no frills
by desjardine
My husband and I are breakfast connoisseurs. Our favorite meal is breakfast and when we travel we always seek out the best breakfasts places. In New York our favorite spot is Normas in Le Parker Meridien and we don't take a trip there without going there once but it's VERY pricey. A breakfast there will run you $30-$50 a person. We feel very fortunate to have a place like Breakfast Klub in Houston as it has almost the same level of food at half the price. The only thing we could hope for is the Breakfast Klub to take reservations and have a sit down restaurant but maybe then it would'nt be the same. Well to anyone looking for great breakfast and if you like French Toast mmmm there's is EXCELLENT. THey start off with a thick and sweet bread and somehow it ends up with a crispyness on the outside. Their waffles are Excellent. The eggs are great. Coffee is great! Everything is really wonderful. The negative is that you have to wait in a line and they don't have servers but for some that may be a positive. The best time to go is during the weekdays because the weekends there will be VERY long lines.
- Pros: Hands down the Food is superb!! The coffee is excellent!
- Cons: Order at the counter, no servers, long waiting and the line is generally outside which can be torture in the summer
A novelty perhaps worth an occasional visit where the food is good and the staff is nice.

The Breakfast Klub is an atmospheric upbeat down home place to enjoy your breakfast occasionally. Not a
fancy place in terms of decor but the food is good. If one doesn't arrive early there is often a waiting line out the door. It's purely a subjective matter if one wants to wait in the Houston humidity for admission.
- Pros: An enjoyable place to have breakfast once in a while. A good place to take out of town guests for the ambience of the place.Nice staff.
- Cons: Can be quite a wait in the heat to eat.
YUM!!

Wonderful, down home cooking!! Highly recommend! I had grits, biscuits and gravy and they were delicious! There is nothing upscale about this place, just great food and a friendly atmosphere.
- Pros: Good ole Southern cooking
- Cons: Line to get in gets long
