Priceless

This is really the best bar in Houston. All kinds of people end up in here-- flashy corporate lawyer types, skate punks, dizzy opera fans, cheerfully argumentative baseball fans, you name it. Come in here a few times, different times of the day and week, and you will learn something about the kaleidoscopic soul of this city. Good service, great jukebox, too.
My favorite bar in the 713

My favorite bar in Houston. The only bar that competes with this for my affection is The Library on 6th Street in Austin. The drinks are great, the regular crowd there is a nice mix of every type of person you can imagine. Service is always nice even at night on the weekends when it gets busy. When I first started going there I thought the juke box was way outdated. Then as years passed and I got a little older I realized it is filled with tons of songs I know but I just did not know the names to.
I don?t work in downtown anymore so when I meet up friends for a game I always time it so I can slide into a stool at Warrens and throw back a couple before the game. I would much rather relax there then to try to get a drink the two bars outside of Minute Maid Park. Those places are way too crowded
I would recommend this place to anyone.
- Pros: Big pours, small prices, friendly bartenders
- Cons: Tends to get smokey but the smoking ban will take care of this.
best damn drink in dt

Amazing Drinks and Weirdly Enough Chicken Salad

My best friend is a regular so we go everytime I come to see her. The best part about Warren's aside from the great, strong drinks is the chicken salad sandwich. It is amazing. Great location and even better prices.
This classic downtown bar holds its own amid downtown's revitalization. It's even attracted a new breed of patrons.

In Short
The popular bar is cramped to begin with; the tables are painfully close to one another, and chairs seem to be in short supply. The decor is quite masculine, all wood and Dickensian sconces protruding from the wall, and a lovely turret-type booth overlooks the lower half of the room. In addition to the same old barflies, young theater kids and hipsters are cramming into this Market Square establishment every weekend.
My "Cheers"

I used to go to Warren's every day after work. I won't go into detail, but it was the closest I (probably most people) will ever get to the "Cheers" experience. They aren't modern, and they don't have new, hit music on the juke box, but that's half of what I like about the place. Most of all, Amada is the only person in town who can make my martini as well as I can. Katy ain't bad either.
- Pros: Amada, unfashionable, quiet
- Cons: weekend parking, weekend crowd, street panhandlers

Warren's is a great bar to start the night out at, end up at or anything in between. Of the numerous times I have been there it has never been to crowded and there has never been a lack of chairs. The bartenders aren't in great supply but they give the place added charm. I concur with the other reviews that the drinks are strong and the jukebox is great but I would play Sade is I were you.
Always interesting

If you are looking for cheap, STRONG drinks, this is the place. Cute little dive with a fun juke box. Gets crowded on the weekend but I like to start off there rather than finish since the drinks are so stout.
Kick-ass dive

Warren's is a great little anti-trendy bar where the drinks are , very VERY strong and the crowd is small and eclectic in the early evening. Everytime we go we wind up talking to some crazy or drunk total stranger and having a blast. Cool jukebox too- jazz and blues.
- Pros: Strong drinks, Crazy odd patrons, Good jukebox
- Cons: A bit shabby
