Not the best mexican food in Houston. But for some reason it might be my favorite restaurant. Perhaps the service isn't perfect. But it's OK every time. The same for the food. Not the best, but it's pretty good every time. These guys are super consistant. Love this place!
I think Thursday is cheap margarita day. Go then.
- Pros: Good service good food
- Cons: Crowded

I just love, love this place. I've become a regular here. And so have my friends and family, that I've taken there with me. I'm from the Heights and this place is by far my favorite for fresh mexican and good ritas!!! Prices are great. And it has a great patio you get a good breez even when it's hot out. But don't tell to many, it's a hidden gem try and keep it that way.
- Pros: everything
- Cons: n/a
Tasty and reasonably priced with great Mexican seafood dishes.

My boyfriend and I went there today for the first time after receiving the recommendation from a friend. I love shrimp en brochette, and I heard the shrimp caliente was very good there. We were not disappointed. The chips and smoky red salsa were wonderful, but the verde was my favorite. The queso with fajita meat was nice and peppery. I also enjoyed a Senorita Margarita at the recommendation of my waiter, but the shrimp caliente was to die for. Sauteed in garlic, peppers, butter and wine and served with a side of guacamole salad and tortillas, this dish was one of my absolute favorites - it was also reasonably priced. I highly recommend this restaurant.
- Pros: Good, inexpensive food; great drinks

Staff shoved tables to one side to clean and sweep while patrons were still eating. They should ask patrons to leave or tell them they are closed if they go about such tasks while the restaurant is still open. Food NOT worth the rudeness and inconsiderate attitude.
Wow, possibly a new favorite!

I've been here several times and always appreciate the food at great prices. But this past time, the food was especially awesome. Any fajita entree (there are many to choose from) is a winner. The margaritas are huge and though a second would have made the night zip right along, I safely stopped at one. This is quickly becoming an outer Heights institution, so please don't go here, stay away!
- Pros: fajitas, margaritas

Casual Mexican restaurant great for families. Tastey food and the Perfect Margarita (with a splash of Patron) compliments any dish you choose from their menu. The grill (comal) is the best way to go for 2+. Highly recommend it.

You definitely get your monies worth here. Every platter is enough to fill you up served with rice an beans. Service is good. Atmosphere good. Best described as an slight upscale taqueria. Accomadates big family parties with their back room with 2 long tables. My favorite dish are the enchiladas. Yummy! Prices are reasonable. On average you'll spend 10 bucks per person, well that's only food.
Bustling Heights-adjacent Mexican restaurant for a lively scene and cheap, potent margaritas.

In Short
A large Aztec mural on one wall of this friendly restaurant hints at the authentic Mexican menu that awaits diners. A mix of regulars and groups fueled on margaritas samples a variety of tacos, carnitas, combination plates, enchiladas, burritos and fajitas. Grilled quail, fried avocados stuffed with chicken and cheese and whole fish dinners offer a break from the usual Tex-Mex standards. For a more conversation-friendly space, opt for a picnic table on the outdoor patio.

met a friend there for happy hour because the margaritas were only 99 cents on the rocks and $1.99 for frozen. While they tasted ok, they were very weak. I only had chips and queso to go with it but could barely feel any effect from alcohol after three drinks! Typically, three margaritas from anywhere else would have me looped. Guess you get what you pay for.
BTW, sitting on the patio was no big deal because the breeze didn't even go through there.
I will give this place another try. Will sit indoors and eat the food so as to rate it. Hope the food is better than the watered-down drinks.
- Pros: ok ambiance
- Cons: weak drinks
You should really try this place

Awesome authentic Mexican food. Great prices. My wife and I meet there for lunch very often as it is a good middle location between our jobs. I frequently crave this place because it is so good. The beef fajita burrito is excellent with melted cheese and gravy oozing off it. The beef is wonderful. Way more than you would expect for the small price tag on these delicious items. Great lunch specials for 5 bucks are also a daily feature. I could not come up with anythinig negative to share, apparently niether could anyone else(at the time of this writing).
Service is generally prompt and polite, as it is with many Mexican restaurants.
- Pros: Food and Service. In my opinion the best I have seen in Houston to this day.
- Cons: Parking can get a little tight at lunchtime
