Bland Dinner

THIS DINNER WOULD HAVE TO BE ONE OF THE WORST THAT i HAVE HAD IN QUITE SOMETIME. WE HAD FRIED MUSHROOMS, SHRIMP, AND ONION RINGS. THE WHOLE ORDER HAD NO SEASONING OR SPICE IN THE BATTER TO FRY THEM WITH, PLUS WITH THE COMBINATION THAT THE GREASE MUST OF BEEN OLD. EVERYTHING WAS DARK IN COLOR. I SHOULD OF JUST HAD A CAN OF DOG FOOD. AT LEAST MY TASTE BUDS WOULD OF HAD SOME EXCITEMENT

Excellent Home Cooked Breakfast!

Walking into Avalon Diner was like taking a step back in time. It's an old-fashioned diner. My kids loved it because they could have breakfast in the afternoon. My daughter had breakfast - eggs and waffles with a milkshake and my son went crazy for the cheeseburgers. The menu had so many choices it was unbelievable. This is a great place to take the kids or just have a tasty shake.

Best Diner food in Houston, Excellent service

This is my favorite breakfast restaurant in Southwest Houston! The food is great, and the variety is excellent. I've have been dining here for years and my family and I love it. Best pancakes I've ever tasted! If you like classic diner food, they also make a great burger and patty melt.

The staff is very friendly and attentive. Most of them know me by name.

I highly recommend this restaurant to any one who lives in Southwest Houston, or is in the area.

Bland food that should be avoided

Went in for breakfast on a normal Sunday morning. The menu was okay but after getting my order the food was very bland and did not pack any type of impact on the taste buds. Service was okay but will not be going back due to the prepacked food.
