Best Brazillian Steakhouse in Houston!.
My Wife & I celebrated our 49th anniversary here on 10/29/11. First time visit. Everything was excellent. Service topnotch. Almost all the meats were great. The exception was the sirloin - a bit
tough. Lamb chops the best I have ever eaten. Filet also very good. Servers were happy to get meats cooked to our soecs - rare, medium, whatever. Salad bar was maybe an A-. We have eaten at a number or other Houston Brazilian steakhouses. Won't try them again. Only comparable is the late lamented Rodizios.
Expensive so we will reserve it for special events but will certainly be #1 on our special meal list!…
This place is amazing!!!. A friend suggested Fogo de Chao to my husband and he made reservations for us on our anniversary. If you've never been to a Brazilian Steakhouse consider this something to add to your bucket list! They have valet parking and a classy appearance inside and out. I was suprised they did not have a better website. They have a lot to show off. Top notch buffet with a suprising amount of specialty items. Be prepared to pay $120-150 dinner for two, but it is well worth it! The waiters walk around with the cooked meat and offer you slices of different things from filet mignon to parmesian crusted pork ,which was really good! For desert I had creme brulee and my husband had chocolate molten, both were delicious and they wrote happy anniversary on the plates with rasberry sauce. : ) Great service! Everything looked great, tasted better. This place is amazing!…
The Best Dinning Experience.. Bravo! Love this place, the food is always great and the service is crazy good.
Best Restaurant ever!. Been here many times and I love it! We will keep going.
First Time Fogo Experience.
Although the price is higher than I normally would spend to eat out, it was worth every cent. It's like the old saying goes, "You get what you paid for". Boy did I get what I paid for and more.
We arrived with reservations and got seated immediatly, and when I went to sit down the waiter pulled out my chair for me (that's never happened to me before so I was impressed). Because it was our first time there he explained the process to us and provided us with coaster like cards that when flipped green means YES please bring me meat, when flipped red means NO thanks I'm satisfied for the moment. We were like kids in a candy store.
The thing that impressed me the most aside from the friendly staff and the incedible selection of meat, was the fact that they made it a point to bring well done meat to our table for the folks who preferred it. Most of the meat is prepared medium to meduim well, so the fact that they especially made it and brought it out without anyone asking was great.
I highly enjoyed my visit, and hope that I can go back soon.…
Traditional Brazilian churrascaria just like in Brazil.
Fogo de Chao is the premier Brazilian steakhouse in Houston, and rightly so. While it is pricey compared to other up and comers in the Houston area, Fogo de Chao delivers every time with quality
meats, a varied and fresh salad bar, and that fluffy cheese bread they serve you while you're waiting (it's hard to stop eating it because it's soooo good). The service is excellent and they do not chintz on serving you food. Atkins diet followers, you will be in heaven. If you have your little button "on", the waitstaff will swarm around you, vying to offer you piping hot bbq meat of your choice, until you are about to burst at the seams and you've loosened all the notches on your belt. Welcome to the Brazilian churrasco experience! You can be sure you'll have a great experience every time.
*Note: We visited the Fogo de Chao in Sao Paolo, Brazil last year - the original Fogo de Chao - and lo and behold it's EXACTLY the same - same architecture, meat, salad bar - everything! AND, it came "highly recommended" by the concierge at the Grand Hyatt where we stayed. The cost of the meal was about the same too. So, no need to visit Brazil when you can get the real deal in Houston, right?…
I love the food here!. I have only been to Fogo four times, but have enjoyed each time immensely. The salad bar is excellent and the meats are juicy & well seasoned. If the portion that you are served is not enough, ask for more & the friendly staff is always happy to oblige. I have not experienced rude service to date. It is expensive but I believe it to be well worth it for special occasions. You definitely need to arrive very hungry though! I usually skip the salad bar until the end if there is still room.…
Expensive Golden Corral with small portions.
The ambiance was not that of a high end restaurant. It was loud and crowded. I didn't enjoy waiting in the long line for the salad. When I got to the meat course, some meats were okay and others not
so much. The portions were very thin and small and the beef was all outer cut. I didn't find any of the meat to be outstanding. The 3 starches they served as sides were good. The service was a bit slow so I spent quite a bit of time waiting for my next small cut of meat. I guess it's better for them that way since you get full faster the slower you eat. The tres leches, which I paid extra for, was still frozen in the middle.
I have eaten at most of Houston's finer restaurants and do not in any way mind paying for a great meal but this is not one of them. What I paid for what I received was clearly off balance. I have NEVER complained about a restaurant before but I actually left Fogo de Chao a lilttle angry. I will not ever go back. I would recommend you spend your hard earned money elsewhere.…
a very nice place. my boyfriend and i celebrated my birthday here on 9/11 we were very pleased with the service and the employess were all kind. we will remember this for a long time.
Rude staff. Terrible service. Would expect more for a $40 lunch. Very rude staff. I do not recommend at all. I do not plan on returning. Worst dining experience ever.
