The Scene
Antiques and old books on closet shelves give this shop a warm, family feeling, and that's the way owner-sisters Patty Larkin and Susan Evans like it. Patty sells her own "wood-burned" folk art and T-shirts, as well a small selection of dressy but comfortable women's clothing in the two back rooms.

The Goods
Pattywhacks carries the work of three noteworthy designers: Israeli jewelry maker Ayala Bar, whose colorful, delicate designs grace museum shops throughout the world; Nick & Nora, known for festive cotton and flannel pajamas; and Patty's 22-year-old daughter, who transforms blue jeans with colorful fabrics and embroidery.
