SAD TO SEE HER GO

Privi is a great place to go for a fun night. Michael the bartender is the sweetest, but we sure miss Pam. She is one of the owners and had been there since Privi opened. Her vivacious personality and genuine friendliness to everyone who came through the door, not excluding her great attention to the perfect drinks, made everyone feel comfortable and at home. She was the reason for the popularity of Privi for seven years. Pam we miss you!!!!!!! Come back soon. We understand Pam is a single mom and is very dedicated to her beautiful daughter. Coodos to you Pam and good luck. WE STILL MISS YOU, SO COME BY FOR A VISIT MORE OFTEN

Regardless of bartender, it's the friendliest, coolest place to chill and visit with new friends and old friends

So I've been going to Prive for years - and it's always charming. Some idiots show up dressed as patrons and want to impress their guests, and they are accomodated. But the real thrill is getting to know the regular crowd. Upscale, not pretentious, and there to have fun. It's never a disappointment, whether it's Michael serving the drinks, or Pam. They are both friendly, entertaining, and always offer a heavy pour!

• Pros: Very cool art
• Cons: The occasional cocky patron (usually in dockers and a starched shirt)

Lounge atmosphere, martini specials, cigars and art mix without pretense at this laid-back Montrose bar.

The Scene
Acid jazz and smooth, bass-adelic house music bounce off the dark-brick walls bejeweled with works of neo-pop. Cigars ornament the bar, including a display of legal Cubans. Despite the $25 pre-embargo stogies, there's no ostentation.

The Draw
The metal letters of the sign that hangs below the outdoor patio, which overlooks the heart of the Montrose, might suggest a snooty clientele and ambience, but this assumption is wrong. On weeknights, laid-back 20- and 30-somethings gather--some casual, some hip, some straight, some gay.

Bad Experience

Poor bar service, had to beg for a beer, was there at happy hour and was not charged happy hour prices for mixed drinks or beer; pouring on mixed drinks was scanty. Overall not happy with the place. Parking not a plus either.

great first date place

This place is great for a first date and it is where my boyfriend & I had our first date, so it has a special place in my heart. Cozy atmosphere, nice couches for conversation (or making out, ha ha ha) The service is efficient. My only complaint is that Jagermeister shots are $6.00 each, which is a little pricey.

Very Cool

I went to Prive for the 1st time last Friday night. I arrived too early really but I just wanted to stop by and see what it was like. The decore and atmosphere is the coolest in Houston. The service was great and the bartender was super friendly. I went w/ a friend but think it's more of a good date spot so I'll go back for that. It's a cool combination of people and the style is unique. They had a DJ spinng as well as football on 2 T.V's on the patio. Something for everyone really.

Where's the attitude?

You walk into Prive and immediately expect to be slapped with haughty attitude. You walk around, expecting it to jump out of one of the romantic nooks and still, nothing. Finally you make it out onto the patio with a great view and finally you realize, there is nothing to fear, there is no attitude here!!

More Martinis than allowed on Land!!

Great bar and GREAT martinis!! Tons to choose from and terrific atmosphere!! Love the view from the roof- a must see!
