good time
by geby1 at Citysearch
my wife and I celebrated our anniversary dinner at zula's on 1-11-09. Excellent wedge and ceasar salads. My wife ordered the salmon which she liked, and I ordered the flattened chicken. Chicken tasted a little dry, but I easily fixed by adding lemon juice on top. Atmosphere, decor ,and service was fantastic. We will return!!!
Excellent food but very expensive

I have been to Zula's a few times now and have always had a great meal. I usually go with a few others and we do have a few drinks with our meals so we always end up paying more than $100 per person. The atmosphere, service and food is quite excellent but expect to pay a good penny for everything.
- Pros: Excellent Food & Service
- Cons: Expensive

Generous portion of seared tuna was cooked to perfection; fun crowd and restaurant. Knowledgable wait staff and a variety of wines to choose from.

Very Good, But Not Quite Great
by phi1566 at Citysearch
Very cool atmospher, great service, and great food. But something was missing - They have the decor, music, and style but I did not feel it. Maybe it wass the crowd, or lack there of, but I did not leave 100% satisfied. When spending easily $100+ a couple eating becomes an experience, and although everything was good I left a little empty. We had the crab cake (excellent - but small portion for price), tuna (very good), veal chop (too fatty) and bread pudding for dessert (excellent). One bottle of wine total bill w/tip $160. Another note - the valet told us to eat at a different resteraunt, we did not listen but found it odd.
- Pros: Service, Style, Downtown
- Cons: Pricey

My family and many of my friends freqent Zula. We are working our way down the menu. Lance Fegen, owner chef, has even shared some of the recipes with myself and my friends. Service is always tops and the Zula blues rock. Maybe someday Zula will franchise.....keep up the good food......recently dined with 9 girls from the my office...the boss was very very impressed..
- Pros: beautiful colors, great music, very resonably prices
