Popular for festivals and for just hanging out, this park sits right in front of City Hall. With grassy embankments and serene pools, the name Tranquility (yes, with one "l") says it all. Among the annual events held in this scenic area are the Children's Festival and the Houston International Jazz Festival. It's also popular with downtowners as a spot to seek some shade on a hot day as well as enjoy an outdoor lunch.
