Everybody Loves Angelo's
by Bigq at Citysearch
I live in Hawaii now, but miss the great pizza at Angelo's. The owner looks just like Raymond Barone from the TV show "Everybody Loves Raymond" and Tony looks like Pinnochio's father. How could you not like the atmosphere?
Love the food, the service, and the price

Great food! Loved their grilled chicken fetuccini....also love their handmade pizzas. OMG, to die for. The service is excellent. We waited ONE time in 12 years of going there. I think we waited 5 minutes. They are so courteous, clean, and happy to help you. The accommodate big parties or just two for dinner. Absolutely love all of their food & the prices can't be beat. I drive from West League City to go here, and that's a long way for us to drive for a regular ole nothing fancy dinner.
- Pros: All food I've ever tried is great! Service is great. Place is clean!
- Cons: Wish it were by my house ;(
BEST Place for the Cost, Atmosphere, waiters/waitress', and FOOD*****

Okay you guys. I have lived in this area for over 45 years and frequent all local restaurants. Angelo's is marvelous for anyone. The best pizza anywhere in this area.. . no one compares!!! Their pizza is hand tossed with fresh veggies. We order the Angelo's Special (a little bit of everything). The salads are always cold and on cold plates. The house dressing is to die for! The bread is so-so, so save your appetite for the pizza dough!
Now, a little about the service! WONDERFUL for the past 30 years! I go about twice a month and have never experienced poor service - a feat that others cannot compare. They are always filling up my tea (almost too much) and water glasses.
Price is affordable and worth the food. The atmosphere is VERY nice and clean with very great tables/chairs and booths. I like to eat in a booth next to the windows.
If Angelo ever reads these reviews, I would like to say THANK YOU for being so consistant throughout the years. WE know what we are going to get and expect from you. You have never dissappointed us. You are awesome!!!!
- Pros: Two thumbs up!!!!!!
- Cons: Nothing!!!!
TOTAL disappointment

While visiting the Galveston area a few weekends I took my family to Angelo's for dinner - we had a coupon. The food was TERRIBLE! I am Italian and was hoping for something that was at least tasty if not authentic. My wife and I had pasta dishes which were both not good at all. My daughter's pizza was edible. The mozarella sticks were fine (you can't really mess those up consider they're frozen), but the sauce they brought to dip them in was disgusting. The salad was okay (again - not easy to mess up), but the server didn't bring dressing because they were out of the one I ordered. The service was less than mediocre (our waiter seemed tired and absent-minded), and the table and silverware were not clean. Our meal - using the coupon - cost $40. We spent less money at every other place we ate that weekend and had phenomenal food and service at all the other restaurants. I DO NOT recommend Angelo's at all ... don't waste your money.

Italian specialties accompany pizza pies at this casual Clear Lake-area family bistro.
Best Italian Food Ever!!!
by drog112 at Citysearch
This is a great restaurant.
When we want comfort food at home, they deliver to League City!!! How Great Is That???
I always get the Chicken Melanzane (chicken breast topped with eggplant & smothered in mozzerella & marina with tons of mushrooms) - it is to die for & you get free bread & spaghetti on the side. . My husband orderes the Antipasto Salad & Bacon Calzone & my son orders the kids chicken tenders with curley fries. There is something for everyone here.
The food is just amazing. I am going to try and copy the Antipasto Salad tonight, but I'm sure I won't do justice. Great wine in the restaurant also.
THANKS ANGELO'S!
- Pros: They Deliver
- Cons: Cost is just a little steep.
Always consistant !

Excellent European style Pizza
by youngman7 at Citysearch
This is the only place we have found in the greater Clearlake area with pizza's that are very close to the European style we had come to love in southern Europe. It's a typical Pizza house but the pizza is excellent!!!
No Flavor

Disappointing. The Fried Mozzarella was bland. The stuffed mushrooms were still raw and tasteless. The cesar salad needed ample amounts of salt of pepper. I doubt any anchovy was in the near vicinty when the dressing was made. My husband had the Chicken Rollatini and I had the Chichen with Eggplant. My father who happens to be Italian and owned Italian restuarants in various countries was with us. He had the veal parmigana. Over all the meals required salt for taste. The service was bland and we had to bus our own table so that our food could be served. Five people were standing inside the booth by the front doors, yet not one said "goodbye" or "come again" or anytthing. Oh, and charging for Garlic Bread is blasphamy!
Best Pizza in Clear Lake
by aggiemmj at Citysearch
Angelo's Pizza is the best pizza in the Clear Lake/Webster area. Soft and foldable, the pizza practically melts in your mouth. Much better than some of the other chains (Domino's, Pizza Inn, etc.).
- Pros: Great toppings, Good pizza texture
