Great seafood!!!
by JNZ09 at Citysearch
It's about a 35-40 minute drive for us + the wait once you get there but it is well worth it! We've had the Stuffed Shrimp Enbrochette to start with. Mmm...to lick your fingers! My fav seafood is shrimp so I get the Jumbo Shrimp Platter which has shrimp cooked 4 different ways. I love this plate! I haven't tried their dessert but I have tried their Bloody Mary and Cosmopolitan, and they're good. If you can get a seat by the window at night it has a romantic feel to dinner.
- Pros: The view, the food
- Cons: The drive, the wait
Agreed!

This restaurant is sooo goo and i agree with wade then he said "Landry's makes the best Oysters Rockefeller I have tasted anywhere in Houston. Order a dozen and try them for yourself. They have made a grand reopening, following Hurricane Ike, and are doing better than ever. We love having a leisurely dinner here while watching Galveston Bay and the boats. Try a glass of wine, some oysters, maybe the lobster bisque or shrimp cocktail, then make your way to a main entree. The lobster tais here are downright insiring; they broil them with butter until they come out fluffy and hot, then serve them with melted clarified butter." This place has amazing food and oysters! Best restaurant in Kemah!!!!! ENJOY!!! O YES and i want to make it aware that wade's comment for polo's signature was deleted because polo's didn't like the comment! so
Dear polo's,

- Pros: Food and service!
- Cons: Nothing whatsoever!
Great Oysters & Lobster

Landry's makes the best Oysters Rockefeller I have tasted anywhere in Houston. The lobster tais here are downright insiring; they broil them with butter until they come out fluffy and hot, then serve them with melted clarified butter. Ever since Hurricane Ike passed thru Kemah, Landry's has ceased from charging for parking in the covered garage, which is another great change. I am not sure how long that will last, but enjoy it in the meantime. From the main entree list, the grilled mahi mahi and the stuffed flounder are exceptionally delicious and fresh. Be creative, explore the menu, and take someone special.
- Pros: Best Oysters and Lobster in Houston
- Cons: Service can sometimes be unpredictable, but it's been improving
What an enjoyable dining experience

We ate again at Landrys at Kemah. The experience was very good. First of all, we request a table outside on the water. Many people don't know that the channel from Clear Lake is the only one leading to the bay. The boats have to down here and you get to watch them from your perch (table). The boats navigate down the "wake-free" zone and at the Landrys point, they can "gun-it"!!! Great way to enjoy a seafood meal. Landry provides unlimited salad with entrees. You simply ask for more if you wish. You also get complimentary garlic bread if you ask. There is a special off-the-menu appitizer that feeds 5-6 people for $20-something dollars. It had fried fish, onion rings, fried jalapenos, french fries, fried mushrooms, and MORE. You HAVE to have a lot of people to eat it. Every fish plate we have ordered has been good, especially the grilled salmon. But, it you order a shrimp or oyster poor boy, it does not come with the comp. salad. Then stroll the boardwalk and walk off the feast!!! But, when we went they started charging $6-$7.00 for parking. Add this to the gas prices to drive there and you might want to eat more locally. Reservations ARE recommended. There was a one-hour wait when we went for those who didn't pre-plan with reservations, and this was on a regular non-holiday night.
- Pros: All seafood is great.
- Cons: Parking fee :-(
Great Improvement, Landry's!

We are frequent diners at Landry's and the Kemah Boardwalk, since we live very close to here. During the past year, Landry's has really improved thier waiter service, added many new wines to their wine list, remodeled the restrooms, sold off Joe's Crab Shack, replaced The Crab House with The Chart House, and opened Red Door Sushi restaurant at the Boardwalk. All of these moves are moves in the right direction, and really demonstrate that Landry's listens to its customers.
As for Landry's restaurant specifically? Well, they have improved dramatically over the past year. The waiters are more attentive, and have really refined the timing of getting meals and drinks to the table in the right order, and at the right time. The Oysters Rockefeller here, continue to be the best I have ever tasted. They are so incredibly good, we never eat here without ordering them as an appetizer. The mahi mahi, lobster tails, and steaks here are really incredible. Plus Landry's serves a great tossed salad with creamy honey-mustard balsamic vinagrette dressing, as well as hot bread for the asking, with any main meal.
The only drawback is that the Boardwalk is now charging to park in almost every lot, which is getting ridiculous. But considering the gas prices continuning to escalate, it's not really surprising. I still believe in Landry's as a corporation; so much so, that I have bought stock in the company.
- Pros: Ocean view, Lobster tails, Mahi Mahi, Oysters Rockefeller, Ribeye Steaks
- Cons: Charing $6 and up, to park at the Boardwalk now
This upscale seafood chain has a stunning view of the Bay.

In Short
Donning the walls are antique signs and other memorabilia striving for--and almost achieving--a nostalgic feel. The menu is familiar: good seafood, not gourmet, but old favorites just the same. Shrimp are broiled, fried, stuffed and chilled. Salmon and mahi mahi are just a few of the fish you can top with a selection of sauces.
best seafood for a reasonable price

conveniently located on the kemah boardwalk with a touch of cozy seafaring, laid-back decor ... this is a great place to dine with friends or for a romantic dinner for you next to a wonderful view of the gulf. a very popular restaurant and rightly so, the seafood is decently priced, reflecting the quality. surely won't disappoint.*
- Pros: location
- Cons: crowded
You Don't go to the Coast to go to a Place You can go to at Home in the Local Mall
by averagejoe123 at Citysearch
Go here only if your choices are Landry's or Denny's. You'll be right at home with the same cookie cutter national chain food you can find anywhere, I mean anywhere else. If you are looking for average, hum-drum, predictable and as exciting as your neighborhood cleaners, look no further. You can take great comfort in knowing your fried commissary fresh meal is already waiting under the heatlamps. Lucky You, who'd a thought you get all the way down to the coast and find the same restaurant they have back home next to the ol Roadway Inn? Woo-hoo, you'll have great memories to cheerish back at home on your couch!!!
- Pros: Like the Old Dodge Dart, You know what it looks like, you know what to expect
- Cons: Kinda sad to pass the Landry's back home by the WalMart to travel all the way down here for this

Catch the View
by the_case at Citysearch
The view isn't the only good catch! Even if it's for just an appetizer, this place is a great experience on the Boardwalk. I'll be coming back.
- Pros: Great view of bay, main courses good, good fried selections
