Guaranteed upset stomach.
Have been to 2 different Los Cucos on 4 separate occasions. Each time I was unable to make it home before the 'revenge' struck.
Taste was fine, just not the second time around.

Family-owned restaurant chain for dependable Tex-Mex standards and a kid-friendly atmosphere..
In Short
With close to a dozen locations spread throughout Houston and surrounding areas, the devoted regulars at Los Cucos depend on flavorful menu selections and tasty margaritas. With more options than other Tex-Mex restaurants, appetizers include hearty nachos, queso fundido, tortilla soup and chicken or shrimp-stuffed jalapenos. In addition to tacos, tamales, enchiladas, burritos and fajitas, diners can sample healthy platters of mixed grilled items, seafood and stuffed avocados from the multi-page menu. Children's dishes available.

One of my all time favorites.
I love Los Cucos, but especially this location. The service is great, if you go even somewhat often they remember you. The food is excellent, try to Vallarta- beef fajitas and butterfly shrimp. They have introduced some healthier menu items as well. Awesome happy hour specials. LOVE this place!

Our family favorite.
We have been a regular at Los Cucos after discovering it via an Internet news group six years ago. It is our family's favorite Mexican restaurant. What I really like is the varied menu, which goes beyond the standard Tex Mex fare. For starters I recommend the frozen margaritas, the shrimp cocktail, and the queso del rio. For the main course do not miss the Pollo Del Mar. On a low fat regimen - try the Seafood Al Vapor (suggest ommiting the jalepenos-mucho caliente!). Enjoy life and this special food!

Best Mexican Food in Houston.
I am an avid Mexican restaurant diner, and I am always looking for excellent Mexican food. Los Cucos is by far the best I've found in the Houston area. Excellent freshly made food, not over-priced, and casual. Everything you're looking for in a Mexican restaurant.

Best beef around!.
Normally, I choose to eat chicken over beef. Not at this restaurant! And to cut costs, I eat from the a la cart menu. I don't care for rice and refried beans anyway. They also have great margaritas. Los Cucos is much better than the top-rated El Jarrito (what's up with that?).
