Greatest Ever

Christine Meeker came to TCH twice to take pictures of patients there and gave them 11x13 free. I love those pictures that now that my son is well I wanted new ones but with my son having cancer I could not afford the luxury of having Chrisitne Meeker take Dario's pictures. I emailed them and explained my situation which the totally understood because by the next day they gave me a response and gave great prices I could never refuse. The session was great. My son is hard to photograph because he does not pose or smile for pics but Christine Meeker made sure the girls on her staff whistled to make Dario smile. She was so patient and loving with him and us. I felt so much at home and I love all those beautiful spots to take pictures in. This was the best experience ever. When I got my pictures I was in love with them. Thank you Christine and Staff for everything you did for us. Those that write a bad review don't know what their talking about.

Beautiful pictures but the price limits my enjoyment

I've done a few shoots with Christine (one of just my son, and one of my son & I together). I've booked my sessions using 'deals' offered by her former (possibly current, I'm not sure) alliance with Gymboree Play & Music stores in Houston. I paid a discounted session fee and got a free print on 1 occassion, and did a short 'mini' session for a discounted rate on another.

Both shoots were with Christine, who was sweet, caring and very outgoing. I found that I did a lot of the art directing, but that she really had an eye for getting a great shot. As others have said, you have to trek back out to her studio to view your proofs (which isn't a big deal if you live in Sugarland, but we don't).

The sales pitch is pretty agressive, but what they should really do is hand you a price sheet first and THEN let you look at your prints. It's actually quite tortuous to see great pictures, but know that even a 4x6 of each is going to run you a few hundred dollars (in addition to the $125-245 sitting fee). I don't have the pricing on me at the moment, but know that the CHEAPEST print is $40. An 8x10 is a few hundred dollars.

If the economy weren't dismal, and money weren't an option, Christine would be our favorite photog. The realities of the economy and the need to put a college savings fund ahead of a photography fund, have sent us elsewhere. There are plenty of wonderful photogs in Houston who offer the same printing and design services as Christine but also give you a disk of the images to share online and all for $250 TOTAL, including the sitting fee (not including the price of prints you order).

Great pictures but too expensive...

I loved loved loved my pictures from Christine Meeker photography, but was really disappointed when I found out how much they were going to cost me! I don't feel like the amount of pictures I recieved were worth over 2000 dollars!! and after spending that much I couldn't believe I didn't get a CD with all the pics. All in all I would go back every year to get my girls picture taken, but the price is just too much and not many pictures to show for it.
