In Short
Perhaps best known as the spot where former President George Bush gets his favorite pizza (artichoke hearts, pepperoni, Canadian bacon, Italian sausage, green peppers, mushrooms, onions and black olives), Fuzzy's offers one of Houston's most beloved Italian menus. Its Katy location also serves up the same piping hot New York slices as well as savory Chicago-style pan pies, zingy pasta dishes and fresh-baked Italian sandwiches such as stromboli. Don't overlook Fuzzy's renowned Greek salads, either.

I went to Fuzzy's on Antoine just a few nights ago. I occasionally have this craving for really good pizza, and a really big tasty Greek salad. But it never fails. Every time I go to Fuzzy's, I vow that I will never return. The line is long, the service is terrible ( even if it is being served by Fuzzy himself ), and worst of all I have to take out a second mortgage just to pay for it! This time I changed lanes and went with a Gyro sandwich. Not for it's nutritional value, but rather because I thought they could get the food out to me faster; as compared to a slice of pizza! I was wrong. I asked for little extra yogurt sauce and was quickly charged an extra $1.00!! The sandwich alone was around $11.00! Ridiculous!! ( It was good however! ). I timed myself on my Fuzzy's experiment and was in the shop for about 40 minutes; includes line wait, and food wait. The service was smug and they were moving at anything but a sense of urgency. I will never go back!

I enjoy the food at fuzzy's however the service is absolutely horrible. During lunch time the restaurant is a disaster. Food and finished plates are left on the table for a very long time; flies fly over them. The staff does not put any effort to clearing or cleaning the tables as soon as their guests leave. Also there is no greeting when entering the restaurant; the place makes great food but the staff and service just ruins the experience.

Fuzzy is amazing- a friend introduced almost a year ago and I've been back at least once a month since then! So many delicious different "specialty" pizzas (try White Quich- awesome!) and the 12in "medium" is perfect for two people or two meals. It's fast and simple- nothing of an "atmosphere" but they don't need any frills because the pizza speaks for itself. I usually do delivery or take-out but the giant-screen TV's make for an okay casual dining experience unless you come too early during "dinner-time" and you will end up watching cartoons with the many families/kids that frequent the place early in the evenings.
