Truly a Good Find!. Not a highly visible location, tucked behind a Sears outlet, but worth tracking down. The Hot & Sour soup is among the best I have found in any city, and all the dishes I have tried have been well prepared and tasty. Service has always been prompt and friendly. Unless you hate Chinese food this is really one of the best restaurants of any kind in Katy.

Best Chinese Food in Katy. We visited this place yesterday for the first time and it has to be the best chinese food we have tasted in Katy. Can't wait to come back. The people there are extremely polite and friendly. It is just one of those places that puts a smile on your face.

Best Chinese food in Katy / West Houston. (Note to others about closing, it has been re-opened as China Cottage in December 2007)

China Cottage (formerly Hong Kong Garden) is hands down the best translation of Chinese / Taiwanese cuisine into the American "Chinese food standard". The selection at China Cottage (formerly Hong Kong Garden) is endless, ranging from simple Mongolian Chicken to extremely authentic specials concocted for only a week's use by the head chef.

The service ranges from excellent to average, some of the servers there are under the age of twenty and some have been serving for the past ten years. The prices are extremely reasonable.

Whatever your experience at the China Cottage (formerly Hong Kong Garden) is, you will want to go back.

Good food fast. The food is good and so is the service but the ambiance isn't. Still, I go to a restaurant for food and we come here when we want Chinese-American.

I love this place. I have been eating at this resturaunt for the past 8 years, and it is one of my favorites. In addition to being delicious, the food is always served hot and fast by very friendly staff at a reasonable price.

9. In the Katy area the Hong Kong Garden is the best Chinese Restaurant I have found. The fried rice is excellent, the best I have had this side of San Francisco. If you like hot & sour soup, you have to try theirs. I would suggest trying the various combination dinners. They have all been good thus far, and it gives you a chance to sample various items. They are large portions and are reasonably priced. The atmosphere is pleasant and the service has been good. Not easy to find, but worth the hunt.
