Tasty home-style meals and down-home kitsch abound at this family-friendly restaurant chain.. In Short
Though its country decor has been modernized by sleek table lamps and wall hangings, what arrives at the glossy wood tables is nothing but down-home, classic comfort food. Crusty chicken-fried steak with white gravy, slow-cooked pot roast and meat loaf can be paired with the restaurant's namesake vegetables and come with a homemade biscuit. Sweet fruit cobblers, served in a bowl or cup with ice cream, are what Southern grandmas are famous for.

Avoid this place at all cost!!!. We were told the food was good, so we decided to try it out. The Chicken fried steak was like rubber, it was stale and cold. The beans in the Red Beans and Rice were not cooked all the way through. The mashed potatoes and gravy were cold and the potatoes were dry. The carrots were nasty( literally they tasted like dirt). The chicken potpie tasted like burnt cream. The Roast was bitter...I know it sounds weird however I can't explain it either...

To make matters worse it was on one of the "kids eat free" nights and the kids meals are free with the adult meal. Guess what the manager had the audacity to argue with myself and my wife about the horrible food and then charged me for the kids meals on the check.

Folks the food at this restaurant is so bad my 4 year old son who will eat anything would not even eat at this place.

I am sorry to post such a bad review of the food, but I will say that our waitress Heather was great.

10. I love the food. They have great home cooked meals for very reasonalble prices. It is a good restaurant for the whole family and you know that everyone is eating healthy.
