DNB was contacted through American Home Shield to replace our leaking water heater. DNB was reponsive to the issue and the technician did a good job replacing the water heater. HOWEVER, they decided that the flex lines needed to be replaced, although the current lines were not damaged in any way and said the roof vent needed to be 'repaired' because it wasn't to 'code'. We agreed to the extra work thinking they're the experts, HOWEVER, they gouged us severely on the cost. They charged $293.66 to replace (3) lines that cost about $50 total (no extra labor cost as the lines had to be connected anyway) and get on the roof to slide the existing (not new) exhaust sleeve down flush with the roof, literally (5) min. to push the sleeve about (6) inches down the exhaust pipe. Although the job was completed satisfactorily and they were polite, they severely gouged us with the upsell on additional unnecessary items. We were charged a little more than double what would have been a fair price, in addition to what they were collecting from American Home Shield.
DnB is on the list of plumbers for AMERICAN HOME WARANTEE. We were told by Amer Home Warrantee we would hear from a DnB dispatcher within 3 hrs as we have water dripping from a pipe in the wall causing sheet rock damage. The next morning after 9 am, we had to call DnB, because they did not call us. We were told learn they could not schedule a plumber for 3 or 4 days! Because I shut the water off from the main, it is no longer considered an emergency. I have had better experiences with American Home Warantee in the past - but this is extremely disappointing and the secondary damage caused by the leak is aggravated due to delays. Do not use DnB if you have any other possible choice!
Good experience with them. Quick response and friendly service so far. I use them for a couple months now back to back for a couple home issues. So far so good. I don't see any of the problems mentioned like others. Hope they keep up with their good service!
Trustworthy company, good people, great experience.. Wow...very wary of this company at outset due to all the negative reviews, so much so that I had another plumber visit after my home warranty company sent DNB. His diagnosis was identical and pricing higher. I must admit that I am a true fan now that I've had DNB in my home. Their representative plumbers were all very experienced and courteous and worked with me to fix my "out of code" problems in a manner that was affordable, HOA -friendly and esthetically pleasing. Val (office) was very candid and knowledgeable. I would unequivocally recommend DNB to anyone needing a plumber. Thanks Robert, Giovanni and Juan. Nice work.
Take the negative reviews with a grain of salt.
DNB Plumbing was recently assigned by my home warranty company to come and repair my hot water tank. I looked up the company online and found all these bad reviews and I became very wary of what kind of service I would get.
However, I have no complaints about the work that was done. Robert was very prompt, arriving at around 8:30 in my 8:00 am to 1:30 pm window. He quickly diagnosed the problem which was that my hot water heater needed to be replaced. The replacement was okayed by the home warranty company and DNB Plumbing replaced it the same day.
Please take all the negative reviews with a grain of salt. The company has been in business a long time and one can only guess as to how many customers they have had over the years. Very few people are going to get online to give a good review, so only the bad reviews have true representation here.
better than i expected. I was nervous about using dnb because of the reviews on here, but that is who my home warranty assigned. I will say that I was not impressed with the dispatchers, but I was very pleased with Juan, the plumber. He was prompt and very courteous. He changed out my garbage disposal quickly and checked to make sure there were no other leaks.
RE:EVIL PEOPLE. UNFORTUNATELY, SOMETIMES WE HAVE TO RELEASE EMPLOYEES FROM EMPLOYMENT DUE TO LACK OF PERFORMANCE ISSUES. THIS EMPLOYEE WAS LAZY AND REFUSED TO COMPLETE JOBS. IF THIS EMPLOYEE WAS SO DISTRAUGHT OVER THE KIND OF WORK THAT WAS REQUIRED OF HIM, HE SHOULD HAVE RESIGNED A YEAR AGO. IN THE LAST DAYS OF HIS EMPLOYMENT, I FELT THIS EMPLOYEE HAD SOME ISSUES AND SEEMED PARANOID WHEN WE WOULD QUESTION HIM OF DETAILS OF JOBS. I GAVE HIM THE OPPORTUNITY TO RESIGN INSTEAD OF BEING FIRED. I HAVE MANY EMPLOYEES THAT HAVE WORKED WITH MY COMPANY FOR MORE THAN 5 YEARS. I TAKE PRIDE IN BEING RATED TRIPLE AAA WITH THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AND TRULY FEEL THAT ANYONE CAN GO ON THE CITY SEARCH SITE AND WRITE NEGATIVES OR POSITIVES ABOUT ANY COMPANY (INCLUDING FIRED EMPLOYEES). I CAN NOT PUT TOO MUCH STOCK IN LETTERS FROM PEOPLE WHO DO NOT IDENTIFY THEMSELVES BY NAME. THIS WAY IT IS ALWAYS ONE SIDED AND THERE IS NO REBUTTAL OR CONSEQUENCES FOR FALSE STATEMENTS. DNB came out to address a clogged kitchen drain. Said they use a snake to clear but supposedly ran into root blockage and could not clear. Replaced a worn out disposal but routed the drain line incorrectly and water backed up into the dishwasher.
I had a second plumbing company come out which ran an electric snake through the drain line and unclogged the problem. Also, they corrected the disposal routing issue.
Stay away from this company. Their whole M.O. is to get into the home then "upsell" you on other services, which are shoddy at best.
Seven Day and counting without water. Their customer service is horrible. They have kept us without water for seven days, when they finally received the part (i call other places that had them so they were obviously trying to save money) we were last on their list. We have 3 children and this experience has been exhausting.
