EXCELLENT GIFT SHOP. I AM NEW TO BELLAIRE. I OWN CHILDREN'S COLLECTIONS IN BELLAIRE AND NEEDED A GIFT ITEM FOR MY MOTHER IN LAW. MY CLIENTS INFORMED ME OF THIS SHOP SO I VENTURED IN .

BEAUTIFULLY DISPLAYED SHOP. EXCELLENT UNIQUE GIFT ITEMS, I FELT AT HOME. THE MINUTE I AND OTHERS WALKED IN GREETED VERY INVITINGLY. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE . I ALWAYS REVIEW SHOPS WHEN I SHOP BECAUSE I BELEIVE IN CUSTOMER SERVICE AS I HAVE BEEN IN RETAIL OVER 35 YEARS. I WOULD INVITE EVERY ONE TO WALK IN AND EVERYONE IS GREETED AND WELCOMED VERY PLEASANTLY. I PLAN TO RETURN AND NEXT TIME INTRODUCE MYSELF.

always a great shopping experience. I was a bit shocked to read the comment by prissypam. I have shopped at Magpies for 22 years and have never witnessed any employee being rude or disorganized. Quite the contrary! Every time I walk in the store, I am greeted by warm, friendly, and helpful employees. In fact, sometimes I can't tell if the person is a store employee, an owner, or a customer because the ambience in the store is so inviting and lovely.

Not to mention that their gift selection is incredible - I always find what I need, and if I need help, the ladies of Magpies are there to help me - with a SMILE. The gift wrap is a real plus!

I would like to add that Magpies is more than just a store - it is a bit of a haven for many of us - because of the hospitality. So sorry that prissypam had a bad experience. I can't even imagine.....

NOT an enjoyable shopping experience...rather shop at similar stores in the area.... Not an enjoyable shopping experience....the employees (at the Bellaire location) are NOT friendly at all, and they are very disorganized with their computer systems. When trying to exchange a gift, they could not locate it in their 'system' for me and it seemed like they thought I had all of the time in the world to wait. I have tried to shop there several times since it's convenient to where I live, but always leave thinking the same thing-they are snooty and I'll just go to the Village where there are fun stores with the same things and fun to shop at with friendly people.
