“Quiet music, comfortable sofas to wait.”
“Their customer service is awful, and the owners obviously don't care.”
Total Disappointment.
Nickname: Diarrheayus
Lack of respect towards their customers, employees, and especially their employees. It's a disgrace to the profession.
Visiting a salon should be fun, not a pain.
Customer service is a word never spoke in that establishment.
Good service if you can get by poor front desk people!. When are business owners and business managers going to "get" that the front desk person is their only chance to make a good first impression? After asking for a credit card number in order to make an appointment, the desk never figured out the tech was waiting for me! So a half hour later I had to go make the desk person find the tech, who was never told I was there. The front desk person had to be reminded by me, the client, that she owed me an apology. "It's not my fault" is today's mantra! Learn how to bend your elbow and point at yourself! Services were good, the only reason for 2 stars. I'll not be back!
An enjoyable experience, very relaxing in the spa and skiled professionals working the front. I had services in the spa, I was greeted at the door, offered something to drink and shown into the spa. Quiet music, comfortable sofas to wait. The wait was short and the service was excellent. I left feeling refreshed and beautiful. Recommend to all.
wonderful educated staff. I recently visited this salon because I was recommended by a friend. I had a great experience from beginning to end. When I first arrived I was a few minutes early. A very friendly staff member at the front desk asked me to be seated and then I was offered a chair massage while I waited. After I was thoroughly relaxed I was seated and spoke with the stylist I had booked an appointment with for my haircut. I explained what I was looking for in a cut and she agreed and even made a few suggestions her own. After another very relaxing scalp massage and shampoo she proceeded to dry my hair first before she cut it. She explained the process as she was going and even offered tips on how to style my hair in different ways with products at home. I was amazed at the results! My hair has never been so easy to style and I've recommended the salon to all my friends. I've never left a salon felling that I got such a great cut and also been educated on how to style my own hair on my own.
Smiling faces and well trained staff:). I recently went to Dionysus for the first time last week. I thought the greatest first impression was the smiling faces as soon as I walked in to make my appointment. The front desk staff was well educated on my needs and the hours open to book were unheard of. I was able to make an appointment before work or after work, which goes well with my crazy work schedule. Two days later I went in and was once again greeted with smiles. My colorist was a sweet, young, hip girl that gave me soo many options. I myself like change and creative work. She worked very neat and clean(which was a trend through the entire salon). It was amazing how much these sylists are educated. They told me they have education every week to keep up with the trends. I felt good knowing I could be trendy even in TX :) It was a beautiful color. I was so excited I had to get my husband to take me to dinner! These guys know what they are doing. I have already referred 4 of my girlfriends. My husband has already gone in as well! I recommend anyone that wants something creative and updated to check out this cutting edge salon!
Poor service, lack of communication, apathetic owners. I had a confirmed appointment w/ a master stylist and waited a week for the pleasure. They called the night before & confirmed my appt. WITH THIS PARTICULAR STYLIST. When I arrived the next day I found the stylist working on me was not the one I had an appointment with, it was a new stylist, one I could have seen the week before but refused. I was told I was bumped because a regular customer of the stylist I requested called and wanted an appointment! It made no difference I already had one, a confirmed one with a credit card at that. After speaking with the manager I was told I could wait for the stylist of my choice, her next opening being 4 PM (it was 10:30 AM) or I could go ahead with the stylist they foisted off on me. I elected to go ahead although I was quite unhappy at this point. She styled my hair in a strange way, at which point I asked when she was going to cut it. She replied the manager had told her not to! At this point I decided to cut my losses (so to speak) and left the salon without a cut and a bad taste in my mouth. I later wrote a letter to the owners of the salon but they never gave me the courtesy of a reply. By the way, I went straight from this salon to Salon Kendall, where they did a great job. By strange coincidence my stylist there used to work at Dionysus and she stated that MANY customers leave the salon (Dionysus) unhappy, and that they (Salon Kendall) frequently get customers in who have just been to Dionysus and want their hair fixed. I do not recomment this salon and would never go there again. Their customer service is awful, and the owners obviously don't care. (If I had gotten a letter of disappoinment from one of MY customers, you can bet I would have tried to make it right somehow!) Beware if you have a confirmed appt. with a particular stylist - with this salon confirmed does NOT mean confirmed!
Cookie cutter salon. After specifically telling the stylist that I did not want short hair, I ended up with hair that is not even long enough to get around a curling iron. Told him I wanted a feminine cut with fullness on side - I got a man's haircut with no style at all and not much hair left on my head . Then in order to make this style work, I was told I needed four different produts. These people know nothing about what looks good on your features or works with your hair texture. All they are interested in is selling product. I think they should pay for a wig until this grows out - I wouldn't even classify what I got as a cut. Would someone please tell these people that not everyone wants to look like a punk rocker.
The same thing happened to me!. Almost the exact same thing happened to me about a year ago. Sorry Nicole, it takes forever for it to grow out, but it does make you a lot more careful about where you go!
Hair Massacre.
I made an appointment for a second level hair cut ($65) as I was really bored with my hair style. Upon going into the salon, the stylist asked me what I had in mind. I told her that I was unsure but I knew that I wanted to grow it out. I asked her if she could make some suggestions. She proceeded to do so and they sounded good. Their system is to give you a dry hair cut. They shampoo & condition your hair and then dry all your hair towards your face. The stylist then heavily sprays your hair with some Aveda product, dry irons the hair and cuts your hair. By the time she was done, my hair was a mess of styling product and blown towards my face. They do not style your hair, you are left to do that on your own just leave you with wadded gross hair blown towards your face. I had this curtain of hair on both sides of my face. I asked her about it and she told me that when I style my hair myself at home, it'll look better.
Upon going home to style my hair, the two curtains I had at side of my face did not suddenly form a style. I called the salon back and they gave an appointment for 3 days later. On my return appointment, I brought the same stylist a picture of exactly what I wanted. She proceeded to layer my hair into strings and give me a mullet. I could not believe my eyes. I specifically told her that I parted my hair on the side and I wanted longish bangs on one side and none on the other. The proceeded to cut short bangs on both sides of my head.
I have been crying my eyes out since the hair cut. I now have to live with a mullet until my hair grows out. I definitely will not return to this place and I don't recommend it. If you are paying $65 for a hair cut, go somewhere where they know how to 1) listen to what you want 2) are conservative 3) will style your hair after the cut so that you can see what you are getting.
