Big Disappointment on Mother's Day
by TheCg
My wife is away this year, spending time with her mom for mothers day. I looked for a local florist and found these guys who advertise "same day delivery" so on Friday, May 6th, I ordered 2 arrangements to be sent to them on mother's day. I guess I assumed that since they have "same day delivery" getting them there 2 days later wouldn't be a problem.
The next day, Saturday the 7th, in the afternoon, I get a call from the owner telling me they are overbooked and will not be able to deliver my order. If I want it to be delivered Monday or later, they can still do it.
Hello? These are for mother's day! Monday is a little late, don't you think?
Of course by now no florist in the area is able to take my order so a lame "Happy Mother's Day" is all I could give my wife or mother-in-law.
You would think a business like this would prepare for what are obviously going to be the busier days of the year but I guess you can always just call people that place their orders and tell them "tough luck."
I guess the lesson here is that if you order flowers from Wildflower Florist in Spring, TX for any kind of a recognized occasion (valentine's day, mother's day, christmas, easter, etc.) you run the risk of being "bumped" if they have as many orders as they want to fill.
Keep treating customers like this and soon you won't have to worry about being overbooked.
