THEY ARE NOT OPEN MONDAYS AS THIS WEBSITE SHOWS - verify they are open before going. The food is great - and worth the trip. Just not on Mondays.

This place is a country home town style of place. HOMEMADE FOOD. Yes, thats right. Homemade veg/meats/deserts...Daily/nightly specials. If you want a down home cooked meal, Mels cafe is your spot. No need to dress up or down. Come as you are. Best burgers, chicken fried steak and a California Chicken dish is to die for. They call it something else, but it is goooood.

- Cons: Parking on Friday and Saturday night can get tricky at times.
