Favorite Asian Food EVER!!. Me and my family have been coming here for years!! The food is amazing my favorite dish is their lo mein! I order it every time! Also their egg rolls and wonton soup are the best i have had! The owners are so friendly, they always say hello to me my family and ask how we have been. great wait staff too! if you want the best Asian food and service come here!

truly "a gem". i recently moved to the annex a few months ago in search of some savory chinese food and stumbled upon mencius while hitting up the local hardstore store. so i decided to check out what my fellow kw folks had to say about this place on good ol' trusty citysearch. after reading all the great reviews about mencius (honestly feeling a little skeptical), i decided to give this place a try myself, keeping faith in my new fellow neighbors. to my surprise, all the reviews are true! this place is truly unique. within a short time during my meal, the owners stopped by to check up on us and from there i quickly learned that this restaurant is a family owned business that has been here for over 2 decades! the owners btw, are the sweetest couple ever! it's easy to see why mencius has been around for 20+ years... the food, esp the specials (thai chicken & bacon wrapped shrimp) were amazing and creative - none like i've had any where else before! i had just met the owner and felt like i'd known her forever - she was a doll and i think she made the meal even better. great food is very important but great service is just as critical and this couple gets it. it's hard to find a place now a days that really cares about the quality and service they provide, but i genuinely felt it here. i hate to sound so cliche, but i will definitely be back!!! and for anyone who is a bit skeptical like i was myself, the only way to find out the truth is to go and see it for yourself.

This place has it all!. It's so worth the drive. The best asian food I've found. The atmosphere at Mencius is quiet and romantic. We are always seated right away. Even with a large selection on the menu, they are happy to make any substitutions requested. Want even more value for your meal? then try Sunday Lunch. I highly recommend Mencius to everyone.

Hidden treasure!. There is no better reason to drive into Kingwood than to eat at Mencius! You will not find a better place for authentic Chinese food, and no others beat their menu variety! The owners are constantly thinking of ways to improve and add to the wonderful food and service they provide. It's clear that the customer is #1! Ive been eating there since I was a kid and have not found a better place for Chinese food even after visiting Asia!

Best in Town!. Never fails to be GREAT food whether we dine in the restaurant or have it delivered or pick it up for take-out! Excellent food, great service...only asian food restaurant we will eat at in the area!

Best Hunan/Szechwan Chinese in Houston!. Everything about Mencius' is fantastic. I have just recently moved to Kingwood from inside the loop and must say that it rivals anything in Houston. The food is incredible, service is wonderful, prices are reasonable. On par with Scott Chen's, Hunan's, of PF Changs without the reservation, snobbery, high-dollar price tag, or 2 hour wait!
