Couldn't really recommend it.
We visited Humble City Cafe recently, and found it to be mediocre at best. The chicken salad portion
was minimal, and my husband's burger was undercooked. The meal actually took about 25 minutes to get to the table, which was too long when the restaurant was not full. Also, the owner is an okay singer, but I would recommend a professional if you're going to have music. His attention should be focused on providing good meals, value for money, and faster service.
what happen. The owner of this place is a freak. This place used to be good back when it first opened. Now some weird old guy owns it and likes to sing. What happen to the way it used to be.. Food has gone down hill fast. Sad!!!
High Family Value Cafe. My wife and I thouroughly enjoy our meals at Humble City Cafe. We drive from Copperfield to Humble about twice a month to get our southern home cooked meal. The staff are friendly and will take good care of you. Prices seem lower than average, but the food quality is higher and consistant. I wish the pancakes were better, the batter used seems store bought. After the meal it is fun to browse the gift shop and the antique store upstairs. And if you are lucky you can catch the owner singer throughout the diner.
Michigan Visitors. We were in Texas for our aunt's 75th birthday celebration and we all went to this restaurant for dinner--all 11 of us. I had the real country fried steak--not like up north--and I think I would make a trip back just to have it again. Everyone loved their food and the atmosphere was lots of fun. The portions are huge so make sure you ask how large the serving will be when you order. The cornbread with the honey-cinnamon butter was brought out hot and was a great beginning to a wonderful meal with our family. Thaks Humble City Cafe for a great memory!
Down Home Food. This place is fun and the food is good and a good value. The Cafe is located in Downtown Humble in an old building. It's a child friendly place with lots of room. We've have eaten there many times and the only con is that the staff can be slow on occasion. The food has always been good whether it be the chicken fried steak, fried catfish, hamburgers, salads etc.
Comfort food at it's best.
All I have to say is good things about this place. To start, they have fresh made potato chips!! The small chicken fried steak is HUGE!! Wonderful side dishes. The kids menu is good also. The kids even get Oreo's for dessert!!
The restrooms are good size & always clean.
