Great Buying Experience. I bought a 4x4 tundra from Tejas about a week ago and I was extremely happy with the sales guy kevin and he took great care of me. i got a great price and he didnt hassle me at all. He said he had only been there a few months but he was so knowledgable about there cars. I reccomend him for any questions you have and will be back for my next car.

Great experience!!!. In reading the other reviews, my experience was completely different. I dealt with Michael in regards to my new Camry SE and I have to say that I was pleasantly suprised at the attention to detail and also his compassion for my wants and needs. He made buying a new car simple and easy, but most importantly I didn't have to deal with all the back and forth that usually goes on.

I love my new car and I would recommend Tejas Toyota and if you go ask for Michael he will take good care of you.

Can you give a ZERO star rating?!. Today (06/18/11) I went to Tejas Toyota car shopping with my 18 y/o daughter. We walked into Tejas Toyota and they were obviously busy so we stood and waited for someone to come assist us. While standing there waiting, a large man (salesman?) sat at his desk and more than twice looked up at me only to ignore me. After standing there about 5 minutes a male customer enters the store (I am a female and mind you we are standing right inside that door) and the large car salesman runs right over to him to ask if he could assist him. I just stood there as my jaw dropped in disbelief! I said in a raised voice, "REALLY???" I explained that I had been standing there only to be ignored and a male customer walks in and he runs right to him. This less than a man car salesman tells me that they obviously are not going to be able to help me and that I could leave! We did just that. We left and went to ROBBINS CHEVROLET where we were treated very nicely and my daughter bought a 2010 Toyota Corolla. Way to go Tejas Toyota!! I'm sure Robbins Chevrolet appreciates that and the fact that it gives them more business. This was not racial discrimination as I am 42 y/o, upper middle class and white. It was very much sexual discrimination by that particular weasle. There was one car salesman who was much older who came over profusely apologizing for they way the weasle acted. The older gentleman was a sweetheart, but I want nothing to do with a business that employs people like the large weasle working for them!

Second worst Dealer. These service people do not have a clue of what they are doing when they sell an extended service contract. Fools being led by more fools. Liars cheats and outright thieves. Now answer back you bunch of BUMS.

Great Scion Buying Experience -- Ask for Mr. Vines!!. My husband and I have both purchased Scions from Tejas Toyota/Scion within the last year, and we both had great experiences!!

Ask for Euel (pronounced "Yull") Vines...he was very professional and really work hard for us. We knew what we wanted and we drove from Austin to pick up our cars (Release Series xD and xB). We were in and out in under an hour which we very much appreciated.

I have sent other friends to him since buying my Scion in July (he also sells cars in the used car dept) and they have all had great experiences.

I'm not sure about the new car department, but I would definitely buy another car from Mr. Vines. He ROCKS!

Beware.... We have previously purchased TWO vehicles at Tejas over the 15 years we've dealt with them. We went back after 8 years with every expectation of another pleasant and satisfying experience.

Instead we had a NIGHTMARE.!!!! We dealt with one salesman who didn't seem to want to help us. We subsequently dealt with the internet sales person and he helpfully and courteously arranged a fair price and we agreed to buy the car. We even offered to make a deposit by credit card to hold the car for the 6 hours it would take us to get there. This was refused, saying they would save the car for us, no problem.

When we arrived, another manager had gotten another buyer to buy the car out from under us. We sat for hours waiting to see if we were going to get the car we had been promised.

We finally deduced that they were using us as leverage to get the other buyer to pay more. We sat isolated and very uncomfortable, and finally had to search through the building for a person, only to find that , "Oh, yes , the other people bought the car. We didn't have to honor our agreement to sell to you." It truly was a nightmare.

I'm sure God was looking out for us, because we wouldn't have wanted a further relationship if the dealership attitude has changed so radically. I just feel sorry for the other buyer.

Maybe this is not a common occurence, but I got very bad vibes.

Bad Managers. I called for a specific vehicle. I got an email that they have it in stock. We drove 50 miles one way just to find the other vehicle. The 6' 6" toll Manager came out from no where. When I told him that why you guys lie to lure customers on your lot, he got offended and told me that he sold that particular vehicle just a few hours ago. I said, it is highly co-incidental. He said, he did not lie. I asked him to show me the sale, if he is right. He declined and asked me to leave the parking lot and started shouting. HE WAS a lier, and he got caught.

Not only I will never go there, I recommand YOU NOT TO GO THERE! There are plenty of nicer Toyota Dealers out there.

Worst experience ever... NEVER will I recommend. To all readers and to TEJAS.

I was recommended to this dealership because of the price of a car, through a friend. Went there, bought it and later found out that it was a car which had at least 2 bumper accidents. The salesperson denied it at the time of sale and still does! The repairs were done so poorly and I noticed it because another friend pointed it out to me! I did notice the paint job at the time of sale but again the salemen denied it. When I took it back, the USED CAR sales manager was very rude and said, "It works well right?". That manager was so rude he got me SO upset (not exagerating). I have to buy tires now and do an alignment, get the bumper fixed properly and now I am thinking of a paint job or just traing my car to get a car I can be proud of... NEVER will I go there ever again. PLEASE do not go there. They did not stand behind their product and their attitude changed once the sale was made!

Loved my buying experience!. My husband and I bought our first Toyota from Tejas in 2004. Our sales man, Mr. Shepherd, was very helpful. There wasn't any pressure. And we've had regular follow-up phone calls and notes. WE ARE VERY PLEASED WITH OUR VEHICLE! AND WE PLAN TO BE REPEAT CUSTOMERS!
