Boomerangs, Aussie flags, kangaroo portraits and faux aboriginal art honor the homeland's wilderness, but Outback delivers a polished version of rusticity with varnished blond-wood booths with matching wainscoting and casually uniformed waitstaff. Besides more than a half-dozen cuts of steak, diners can pick from large-portioned entrees like ribs, chops and shrimp or chicken "on the barbie." The Bloomin' Onion, a large onion dipped in batter and deep-fried, is an appetizer with a following.

Go for a lot of other things. But do not go to Outback if you are longing for a good steak, or even a mediocre steak. They have a lot of good offerings but their steaks are dependably bad meat poorly cooked and served by young adults who would obviously much rather be working somewhere else.

I travel 3-4 days a week and eat out alot for work, so my outback experience here was very good. My server, victoria, was very pleasant and very attentive. Additionally, several of the other servers constantly filled my water when they walked by, or at least asked. Steak (filet) was good, veggies were very good as well.

Outback Steakhouse is overpriced for their steak entrees in my opinion. Our bill for just two people without any appetizers nor alcoholic drinks was around $55. This certainly did not include the tip for our waitor. Hopefully in the near future, their steak entrees will be exceptionally well worth the money compared to other steakhouses in Texas.
