WOW. Sloan Hall is amazing! The staff is amazing as well. So are the designers... I've been shopping there for years and have never had a bad experience. Sounds like you maybe need to join some sort of chat room to talk your issues out instead of bitching about stores on the internet. Or, a friend, if you can make one. Match dot com may be a start. I think they may have an angry lesbian group.

Great cards only!. Let's be clear, Sloan/Hall has great cards, but everything else is a joke. Their employees are very unknowledgeable, and their jewelry, which lacks creativity and diversity, is ridiculously overpriced!!! They have driven a ton of great designers out of the city because they sign exclusive deals with them, then they overprice their designs beyond limits. When no one buys their stuff, it is the last they sell in Houston. The previous reviewer was 100% correct about High Gloss. The twins are extremely informed about their jewelry and will not try to take you for an arm and a leg, like Sloan/Hall. Can you tell, I don't like Sloan/Hall, and love High Gloss?!

Best Place for something special QUICK !. Great parking and you always have someone helpful to aid in finding that special gift.

Plus you don't have to wait in line (usually).

This is a great place to go if you are looking for a unique card or coffee table book.

Plus they have bath products, candles, and beautiful vases and ceramics.

and of course LOTS of jewelry !

Some designers have trunk shows here so it is good to get on their mailing list.

They always have some items on sale so shop wisely --you can find some great deals.

Sometimes they have a good collection of handbags & clutches and other times they have several shoe choices. I used to buy my Mostro Puma shoes here all the time since they carried several different colors.

If you haven't tried Molton Brown bath products they are a must...

and they usally have some unique stuff for children's gifts too !

A shop with supplies that are modern and minimalist, yet gracious and fragrant.. In Short
Even an everyday Joe can shop here for greeting cards. Sloan/hall sells items for birthdays, anniversaries and no-special-occasion occasions. Beyond the cards, there are gifts like a set of red leather boxes, so soft, supple and striking. Also in store: the rubber-soled Prada footwear collection, toiletries and decorative housewares.

Fantastic store for last minute gifts and cards!. I have driven past this place on numerous occasions and this time, FINALLY stopped to see what was inside. I needed to pick up a card, and the selection was amazing! The cards were incredibly beautiful. The cd's are wonderful! I bought a few lounge music collections from London and Amsterdam. There is a great selection of jewelry and stationary boxes, little art objects and more. The woman behind the counter was very kind and helpful. I went in for a single card and came out with two bags of beautiful things!
