This is Hairitage Salon's Mission Statement according to it's Facebook Page. I had a quite different experience. Last week, I made an appointment with Jackie Byars for a cut and color. I walked in this morning at 10:00 for my appointment and was told that Jackie would not be in the Salon at all, and I was being set up with a different stylist. That stylist was not there either, but would be there later in the morning. I walked out of the salon and vowed never to return.

I spent close to 200 dollars last time I had a cut and color with Jackie. I would have appreciated a phone call to let me know that Jackie would not be in. Yes, my experience at Hairitage was "unique" and "personalized", but not in the way that I had hoped it would be!

best hair salon. The new home of the Hairitage Salon is spectacular...Jackie is an amazing stylist that will make you look great and keep you smiling...if you are lucky enough to get an appointment you wont be dissapointed!

Carly is the one for me at Hairitage. I have been following Carly since she began cutting hair. She is fun and personable. She is very helpful in the creative process of figuring out a hairstyle for you. The new location is great. It is located in a beautiful old bungalow style house in the River Oaks district. Great windows to look out of while getting your hair done. The atmosphere is very relaxing. The staff are all very friendly. Cooper is a very personable front desk manager and Rosie gives a great scalp massage when you get your hair washed. I highly suggest you try it out. Ask for Carly when you call.

Michael Berglund is the best colorist ever!. Michael Berglund is the best colorist I have ever had. The red highlights are wonderful! I have been going to The Hairitage since 1980 and have been seeing Michael for at least the last 10 of those years. He always cuts my hair perfect as well. Michael is fun to talk to. He is a kind and sincere person. My adult son thinks I have really expensive salon services because my hair looks so good after I have seen Michael.

Stephen Walker is the beset. I don't know which stylist the folks with the bad reviews used, but I've gone to Stephen for 12 years now for cut and color, and have always been very, very happy. He specializes in color, and is particular good with red shades (which are NOT easy to do right!). I highly recommend Stephen.

Best Haircut in the city. Stephen gives the best haircuts in the city! I've been going to him for years and never leave disappointed. Not only is he a great stylist, he is a terrific individual that cares about each client. The added plus for Stephen is that he's great fun-it's always a pleasure to be in his chair.

Best Hair Stylist. For someone who is very picky about his hair to find a stylist that can be trusted is rare, but I have found him. If you want a stylist that is constantly delivering quality cuts go to Stephen Walker at the Hairitage. Ahead of the norm in both ability and knowledge, Stephen has proven he knows what he's doing when it comes to hair. Stephen is consistent, courteous and often times comical. He has made me a well coiffed and loyal client.

This is a fantastic place for anyone!!!!. This salon was incredible. I felt very pampered and at the same time very comfortable. I had such a fantastic experience there. I would highly recommend this salon to anyone. Stephen Walker was my stylist and I was extremely happy with him. He spent a considerable time with me discussing in detail how I would like my hair. He had top of the line European products and my highlights and lowlights are very natural looking. He was very professional and easy to talk to.

Best Salon in Houston!. This is the by far one of the best salons in Houston - and perfect inner loop location! Stephen and Michael are very creative stylists. Stephen is a superb colorist! He has rescued me from unfortunate color more than once (why did I stray!?). He knows what he is doing and the results last a long time.

I've also taken advantage of their spa services - Wess is an awesome massage therapist. Very professional. It was great to sit and actually talk a massage therapist and tell them where I was hurting and then actually have him work those areas ... not only that but to actually have someone who asked about pressure ...what a treat. After this massage, I will go back, and I highly recommend him.
