What People Are Saying About T K Bitterman's

In Short – Plastered with Chicago Cubs memorabilia, this modest Montrose watering hole shows athletic events, but it isn't really a sports bar. And despite the tweedy name and some dartboards, it's not much of a pub. The (recorded) music gets loud and alternative after midnight, but it's not a major late-night scene either. Nobody's quite sure how to characterize it--except fun. –
We hang every Wednesday with Sarah @ Market Square
by ihp
On a previous visit on 7/1/2009 we had a awful experience when our favorite waiter Sarah was off duty. The fill in person a male waiter was absolutely disgusting. Did not get the orders correct, complained and bickered when we let him know of the mistakes. Our group of 7 had 4 eating 3 had drinks of cocktails or beer and the bill was $ 133.00 and he could not split it because of his math abilities and then got it all wrong. Chased me down like I was a running out on the check. claiming I owed another $ 13, after this horrible experience none of our group will every return if Sarah is not there.
The waiter has also been known to vacuum while we are eating and won't stop when asked to. "NEVER AGAIN" AND THATS A FACT JACK! We want Sarah back.....
- Pros: Always have great time with our group, food is ok
- Cons: Waiter filling in for Sarah

Home away from home
by angeliabarnett
I have been going to this bar for over a year and I love it. When I walk in now, everyone knows my name and I feel comfortable. Dave, the bartender, is quick with a smile, a stiff drink, and advice (if you need it). I usually go after work, but this place can be fun on weekends also.
- Pros: friendly, quiet, good bartenders
- Cons: not trendy
The Details on T K Bitterman's
Fun Facts:
Bitterman's is a familiar spot for the city's video- and ink-stained wretches who toil in the media trenches, drawn perhaps to true-crime history: This is the place undercover detective Kim Paris made goo-goo eyes at David Duval West to help send him away on murder-for-hire charges.
