In Short – Star Pizza has been cranking out pies in this funky old house in Montrose since 1976. Because of its reliability and quality ingredients, it stays pretty crowded. Some prefer the thin crust, but thick whole-wheat crust holds up better under a mountain of toppings. Specialties like the Joe (spinach, garlic) and the Starburst Deluxe (pepperoni, ground beef, sweet onions and cheese) are mainstays. Sandwiches, salads and lasagna round out the menu.

Can we dump the "Montrose" label

Whether or not Star Pizza itself calls this a "Montrose" location, it is not in Montrose. At least not the Montrose that most of us want to avoid when thinking about who is handling our pizzas. 59 and Shepherd is hardly "Montrose" so give it a rest already.
