This is the place to Meet & Greet & Yes, EAT!

Let me first tell you, that, their is always a wait, each time that I've been, but the food is very good. I started out eating the breakfast, I moved to the meals then to the sweets. They have the best cakes by far. The German Chocolate Cake is a favorite. I took my friends, my children, & other acquaintes, they loved the place. I've always had good customer service, but this is a very busy place. The Crowne Plaza Hotel..is a wonderful place to stay, if visiting the Houston area. House of pies is on Kirby @ Sw Frwy. You will not be disappointed.

Customer must wait

Let me start by saying the food is excellent, and thats about all they have going for them, if it wasnt for the food I would never go back, let me tell you why. Horrible Customer Service. You walk in and no one greets you, you stand there for about 2 minutes or longer, Ive stood over 5 miutes waiting for someone to notice me to sit me and my friends. Ive learned to sit myself. And when its time to pay most of the time there is no one at the register, and so there is more waiting, and employees see you but since the register is not there job they igore you, instead of helping to get the cashier. They should just have a sign that says "sit yourself".

Bad Service

I have been eating there for over a year and over the past several months it seems like the waitress always gets our order wrong, then cuts corners and brings us cold food. I just visited Sunday and the order was no where close to right. Then when we got the right order the eggs were cold and the french toast undercooked. I am not impressed at all and will find a different place to eat breakfast.

I have been going for years and have had consistently great service and the food has always been good. I love this place. Inexpensive too. :)

Cross Dresser

This sighting has stuck in my head for over 25 years. I was eating a late night snack at this restaurant when a man, in full colorful outfit consisting of a dress, scarve, and high heels jumped up from his seat at the counter and forcefully declared after being taunted, "I'll start wearing pants when women start wearing dresses!" Everybody in the restaurant was momentarily stunned by this comment. After a few seconds, one could hear a few chuckles and the look of amusement on many diners' faces. It is not often that one gets to experience such a spectacle! The ironic thing was that I was told by a friend before going to the House of Pies that I could witness some unusual patrons adorned in flamboyant regalia.
