Auntie Chang's is one of our favorite Chinese Restaurants in Houston. The staff and service are very good. They are smiling when we go. We have never had a bad experience there! Jason the head waiter there ROCKS! Roy the owner is also very nice!
poor service, poorer food quality. My friend took me here for lunch after having dinner there last week. Our server was rude and abrupt, and did not listen to our order. My friend sent the food back because it was the wrong dish, which seemed to upset the server. Meanwhile my food was cold, and although stamped "spicy" it was really not. My fried rice tasted old and salty, my shrimp were overcooked and rubbery. I was hesitant to complain because the server was very impatient with us for some reason. When i told him i did not like my dish he went and yelled about us to the manager. She came over and told me that in chinese cusine you cannot say you don't like the food because it is a waste of food, couldn't i understand that? She did not ask what i didn't like, or offer to remake it, or even get me something else. she did say she would take half off of our less than $10 lunch, instead of trying to give me a meal, which is what i was really trying to get.
Great Dumblings!. Fantastic restaurant with great service and food. I go there there or order delivery at least once a month and have never been disappointed.
Love the food.
I love their food. I go there all the time with my girlfriends. It is a great place to just have lunch with good Chinese food.
Of coarse their dumplings are amazing, but so is the rest of their food. They have great lunch specials that never break the bank.
We try to have something new every-time we go just challenge our taste buds, They never disappoint.
Hooked. First time eating dumplings and I'm hooked! Can't wait to go back.
rude waiter. went with my family, order taker was very rude and "know it all" . after serving the soup for my wife and kids,i decided to order an extra bowl of soup(spend more money!!!) that's when he started mouthing out chinese words to "himself"...this waiter ruined our whole dining experience and ruined it for the whole restaurant. food was not great.there are so many better chinese restaurants in houston.this was my first time there and i'm never going back..watch out for this waiter...wears glasses and probably the tallest amongst the short male waiters or just avoid this restaurant...go somewhere else!!!
Worst Chinese Restaurant in Town.
I am a Chinese and I had one of the worst meals in my whole life last night at this restaurant.
I feel embarrassed being in a Chinese restaurant that serves such low quality food.
I had the hot and sour soup that tasted like dark soy sauce+hot spice+vinegar+water+few shredds of bamboo shoots. The dumplings were poorly made and shaped, not to mention how bad they taste. Go buy frozen dumplings at the Chinese supermarkets on Bellaire and they come out 100 times better. The water to drink tasted like rusty tap water with ice and the crispy tea duck that I ordered just tasted "old". It was fried totally dry in oid grease and tasteless. The tea duck should be a flavorful and complicated dish that suggests a mild tea flavor. Instead, I burped old grease all night last night. Definitely one of the worst meals that I've ever had.
In addition, this restaurant is dirty, the sauce jars are sticky, you can smell the floor sitting down. I was on my way to Mai's located in downtown Houston for a wonderful fish soup (Lau Ca) and saw this dumpling house and decided to give it a try. My first and last time to this restaurant.
I would rate it a minus 10 if that rating was available.
Solid Takeout/Delivery. Nice and quick takeout/delivery. Only thing is I keep forgetting that they have sprouts in thier fried rice. Otherwise, all thier food is pretty good, and you can get a dinner for two for less than $20.
My Favorite Chinese Food Place.
Great service from beginning to end. Very attentive staff!
Food is always yummy.
I can't say anything bad about this restuarant.
They have the best Fried Rice, any flavor!
Good Lunch Spot. I love eating here, the service is excellent! The food is good. Great place for a quick meal.
