Great Place To Watch Football. I've been going to SRO off and on for about 13 years. It's a great place to watch the NFL Sunday ticket although there a few drawbacks. Some people might fine the $3 cover charge on Sundays a bit off-putting. But I'm ok with paying because of the way they have the games setup. Plus, I don't drink alcohol while I'm there so I'm not exactly running up a $20 or higher tab.

Each game has it's own dedicated viewing area with a big screen and the sound turned up so you can hear the commentary for your game. There are several smaller TVs around the larger screen so you can keep up with the other games going on at the same time. On the negative side, many of the big screens are not HD. They really should consider upgrading as much as possible since HD is such a big deal these days.

The food selection is typical of most sports bars. Wings, burgers, salads, sandwiches, etc. You're not going to mistake it for gourmet, but I've yet to have anything I didn't like. Pricing isn't cheap, but it's reasonable and not out of line or anything.

In general, I've found the waitstaff to be adequate. Some servers are simply better at their jobs than others. Your level of service will typically vary based on how many people are sitting in your area. Don't expect to be waited on hand and foot; your mother doesn't work there. Also, if you are looking for eye-candy you need to stick to Hooters or something similiar. Back in the day, they had a few cuties, but most of the servers now carry a few extra pounds. Of course, if you're into that, all the better.

Most Standard Def TV's in Houston!. If you have bad eyesight and can't afford new glasses then SRO may be the perfect sports bar for you. I'm pretty sure all of the standard definition televisions that people traded in 3 or 4 years ago when they were upgrading to HD ended up at SRO at NW Mall. If you want to hang out with your buds, play pool and watch a fuzzy game, the place is ok. If you want to watch the big game on a set that's half as good as what you have at home... stay home.

Good food, good times. I have been going to SRO for about 4 years now and I havent ever had a bad experience. They have so many TV's you can watch any and every game you want. The staff there are awesome. And most of them have worked there for a while. Its nice to see a familiar face at the bar when you need to throw back a few cold ones. They have darts, pool, fooseball tables, a ping-pong table, air hockey tables. They do poker tournements regularly. And they have a new bad-ass electornic poker table game, which accomedates up to 4 people. They also have an assortment of other arcade games like Mrs. Packman, Big Buck Hunter, and Golder Tee. The beer prices are great and the food is actually really good for a sports bar. The restrooms are relatively clean for being in a bar setting. they also have a juke box and now do comedy nights on Sundays. March madness here rocks! They have crawfish and their good size too. Check it out!

Very Rude Waitstaff. This is the worst place in Houston to eat at!! If you like rude employees and dirty restrooms, you're at the right place. The ladies restroom only had half a dusty sign that looked like it used to be a "Wash your hands sign." During lunch once, when I pursued to ask the waitress a simple question of a salad regarding cheese that I had received previously, she was furious and had an attitude and snatched the salad off my table. Through the discussion, a wide range of profanity was used against me just because of a simple question! The employee continued to go on a rampage and when another employee addressed the situation, he mentioned she was upset and asked me to leave. I am not sure what kind of establishment would condone such behavior and when I asked for the manger, they stated they weren't there. How can management leave the store with ill-fitted employees that are rude to customers? I have NEVER been more insulted and HIGHLY, HIGHLY DO NOT recommend any individual dine in such a place where they can be treated with such disrespect without any punishment against the employees.

Great place to hang. I don't often hang out in bars, but really enjoy going to SRO. Love to play video trivia, drink some Shiner draft, play pool or darts and hang out with the buddies. The wait staff and management are very friendly and want to make sure you are well taken care of.

I am an avid fan of the Houston Comets and while most bars have only a few TV's and won't put on the girls bball, SRO is always happy to oblige which is one of the reasons my friends and I like to go there.

Highly recommended!!

Something for everyone. SRO has something for everyone. Obviously being a sports bar...it has sports. Pretty much anything you want to see they have on. There are more TVs at this sport's bar than any I've been too. If you have anyone in your group that isn't a huge sports fanatic they also have darts, pool, foosball, and Texas Hold Em.

I've had crawfish at several places around town, and I think that SRO has the best in town. I have had quite a few different items on their menu, and it has all been good food. It isn't what you would normally think of finding in a bar. The food is more "restaurant style" than bar food. I've always had prompt service with friendly waitstaff.

It's a great place to have a party, watch a game, or stop for lunch (great lunch specials too).

Don't miss a second of the game at this TV-filled sports bar.. In Short
With more than 100 TVs scattered throughout the bar, you can watch just about any game in any sporting event ... which is exactly SRO's goal. During half time, hit the game room, where you'll find pool tables, darts and video games. The extensive menu features tasty bar bites, loaded baked potatoes, salads, sandwiches and SRO's own tasty half-pound burgers. Check out the Slingshot Raw Oyster Bar for fresh seafood, including peel-n-eat shrimp, gumbo and oysters on the half shell.

Its cool, average.. I used to live right behind the place in some apts. I walked over a lot. :) Anyways, the place is fun. It has pool, darts, games, etc etc. The place has a dark smokey atmostphere (Outside the games area) and has a 2nd level which is mostly karaokee (sp). Overall, its a nice place. Kinda average. If your in the area, its a cool place, but I wouldnt make a trip to go. Go check it out!

This review actually is referring to the SRO Sports Bar & Cafe located at 6982 FM 1960 @ Cutten Rd. Also, a great place, but the listing here is SRO Sports Bar & Cafe @ Northwest Mall at 610 and W. 18 St.

We loved it @ SRO!. My friends and I love to play electronic darts and watch the NFL games at SRO NW Mall. The service is good, the food is great, you can see any game or all the games at the same time because there are so many tvs everywhere. The food is really good and the selection is huge! Even seafood that is fresh-tasting. Had the Gumbo recently and was soooo impressed! Didn't know a Sports Bar could do food (and esp, seafood, so good). I'd highly recommend this place for any time -- to watch sports or just to hang out, for lunch or for dinner, or for playing darts or pool. We love it!

Great Time!. We had a birthday party at SRO at Northwest Mall -- about 45 people! We had a great time. The service was great (I think one of our waitresses' names was Tash or Natasha?). The food was very good and lots of it! We coordinated the party around a college game and there were plenty of tvs, plus we played some pool and had some delicious margaritas (and beer, and other stuff), but the margaritas were great! The Owner even game over to make sure we were having a good time. I'd give SRO Northwest Mall an A+++ all the way around. We loved it and will definitely return!
