Better Tripp was OUTSTANDING from start to finish. Allen was excellent as a move consultant and worked his schedule to accommodate ours. Even better, the four man crew - Lupe, Edgar, Jose, Rafael - outworked Allen's estimate. They were careful with and respectful of our belongings and home (new and old); everything was moved without a single issue - nothing broken, dented or even scratched. They exceeded expectations and helped our move come in under budget. I would highly recommend A Better Tripp and particularly Allen and Lupe, Edgar, Jose and Rafael as a four-man crew. Top notch. I'd recommend them to family and friends.
We chose this company based on their reputation and the fact that they advertise they screen their employees using nationwide background checks. Unfortunately, this is all lies and my child was molested by and employee and know felon that worked for them.

I CHARGE THEM WITH FRAUD , KIDNAPPING , CHILD ABUSE, AN AGENDA TO PUT MY DAUGHTER IN DANGER,
FRAUD ON HOUSE, MANY ACCOUNTS OF CHILD ABUSE. SCHEMING TO STEAL TRUST. GLORIA HESS CROOK, BRADY WHITIKER CROOK, Marilyn Chappelear CROOK, Rita Bishop CROOK, Cindy Arrington CROOK. ENCORE CORE TRUST HAS THE RIGHT TO USE THE TRUST FUND TO DEFEND THEMSELF BUT MY DAUGHTER HAD NO RIGHT TO A LAWYER WHO DEFENDED HER INTEREST.
UNSATISFACTORY CUSTOMER SERVICE – I used this company based on a recommendation from my previous movers. I found them to be very slow in responding to any questions or issues, if they responded at all. I had a small move out of state consisting of mostly personal possessions therefore thought this would be better accomplished by a smaller company--BIG MISTAKE!! They did not bother to come out for an estimate and implied that they would use another estimate i had received from a larger company. However they never gave me a firm price unlike the other company which should have alerted me immediately. In addition to this, during several days before my items were to be delivered suddenly no one could reach the drivers! The dispatcher at the office also mysteriously disappeared for more than 2 days so that i was unable to obtain any information about my delivery time. When i was finally able to reach my salesman Bill O'Neil i still did not get the arrival info instead i got (surprise surprise) the news that my items weighed more than the original estimate had quoted. Unfortunately for me, there was really no way i could verify this without weighing the items myself. The moving crew were polite and efficient but it was obvious that my delivery was not a priority based on the way it was handled. I blame the lack of professionalism on the office staff! Therefore i will most definitely not be using this company again nor will i recommend them to others. Although the additional amount i was charged was minimal compared to the horror stories of most people it still seemed a bit shady. I definitely feel that the lack of accountability on the part of the office personnel is not acceptable. This appears to be another example of the cheery attitude when you are hiring a company versus the don't bother me attitude once you are already in the system and you have no recourse.
We apologize for the communication failure. In order to offer reasonable pricing for small moves, there must be a flexible time frame. Here, the delivery was made within days of the pick up, and shipper was called 24 hours in advance. Customer could not give us a list of what would be shipped, so customer signed a "non-binding" estimate to allow for charges to be determined by actual weight, which was done.
Great! – We've used them for two moves (apartment to home) and (office to our garage when we were downsizing). Both times they were really professional and very very fast. They really went over and above to understand all my special instructions -- and I had a lot of them. Definitely would use again.
Years of Great Service – I have worked with A Better Tripp for more than a decade, and during that time, my family and I have utilized their services nearly a dozen times for both home and office moves. With each move, A Better Tripp has proven to be professional, timely and efficient. Their crews are always courteous and careful with our items. And when it has come to those special, irreplaceable items, they have taken extraordinary steps to ensure that the items safely arrive at their new home. Thank you A Better Tripp.

5 Time Customer Plus 2 Referrals – I have used A Better Tripp 5 times between 1998 and 2006, and 2 co-workers have used them. I have been extremely pleased with all moves, both within Houston, and as far away as Louisiana. So have my co-workers. I recently used them for an estate antiques move and they were EXCELLENT! They handled pieces that were over 175 yrs. old with care and caution. Their movers are always courteous. I've never had a claim with them. I'll defintely use them again!
Good experience – They were very responsive to requests, were easy to schedule, and even though they were being paid hourly they were very fast and didn't take any breaks. No problems with damage. The whole move went very smoothly and we were very happy with their work.
Disappointed the second time around – We used Tripp twice. The first time everything went pretty smooth, except that one of the movers was allergic to cats (my fault, I did not ask)! Second time around I specifically asked for no movers allergic to cats, and they sent the same guy! The move took longer than expected, partially due to rain, partially due to the crew. Since they were hourly, this ran up the rate. After they left we found some damaged items, low dollar IKEA stuff. I think they did not take care of our stuff as well as they should have. I will not use them again.
