I'm not in a habit of publicly reviewing places, but have to sing the praises of ABC. They treat our "baby" just like we would - like family.
We've placed her in day care, boarding, and grooming (as well as my "grand pup") and they both cannot get in the door fast enough!!! It just cracks me up every time we board her...bye bye and no looking back. :)
It's extremely clean, and the staff is super friendly. Rates are not as high as you would expect. Take a tour - you'll be pleasantly surprised.
Will use as long as we are in the Houston area! I highly recommend them!
Very clean reliable and friendly place. I have been taking my two persian kitties for grooming there for about three years now. They have always done a very good job, very friendly and clean place. They also have better prices than most big name pet stores. I have been very happy with them and highly recommend them.
DOGGY DAYCARE. I have been taking my dogs to ABC doggy daycare for a year now. I know my dogs are being cared for cause the staff always greets them by name and my dogs are always so excited they nearly rip my arm off getting to the girls. I would never take them anywhere else. I would miss ABC just as much as my dogs so check them out they have new grass in back yards and for raining days they have a indoor outdoor daycare area that is great too!
Great Place To Treat your pet to the best. ABC Pet Resort and Spa is so devoted to being Only the best, Employees work 7days a week serving clients and thier pets needs. Therefore as an independent professional trainer, I encourage all my clients to drop by anytime for a tour of the facility. No appointments needed! Come watch this place in full action on any normal day! You will be wowed!! Step into a kennel that is immaculate. I have been in many in Houston kennels . Non compare!. The kennel staff appears much like an ant mound. Constantly on the move cleaning, feeding, and pottying the dogs. I have had many clients who use A.B.C. for boarding while training . I hear only positive comments .Do take a tour ; unannounced. Let your nose tell you about the cleanliness . And stop a member of the kennel staff and ask any questions and you will see just how friendly and helpful they are. I'm proud to say that I do dog training at ABC. Suzanne Locker provides a place to use for dog training that is second to none!
ABC Stands Behind It's Policies!. As the owner of ABC, I want to assure our customers, and potential customers, that our policy for reimbursements for health issues that arise during or after boarding has never wavered for the six years we have been offering this program. If the pet's problem is not a pre-existing health issue, we always reimburse the customer per our contract. We don't second guess their veterinarian's opinion - and we never argue or ignore a customer's problem. We are proud to have this policy in place, and will continue to handle any issues with sincerity and concern for the pet. We were not aware of anyone in November being denied a reimbursement; which makes me believe that that posting on CitySearch was fraudulent. If the owner will call me directly at ABC, we will take care of the problem immediately. Unhappy pooch. I had no need to board my dog since moving to Houston until recently. A friend recommended ABC Pet Resort to me and told me when her dog first boarded they would send home a cute picture of your dog and a report card so I decided to give them a try. When I came to pick up my dachsund they told me she did great but no sign of a picture or report card (no big deal though). Shortly into the drive home she had very watery stools and stunk up my whole car and got some on the seats. I figured it was normal and it was just an unfamiliar routine that was making her sick however it continued for days. I decided to give them a call to see if they had noticed anything. They didn't have much to say (like they didn't remember her at all) and didn't seem concerned at all. I decided to take her to the vet and they gave me some medicine to help treat the watery stools. I called ABC again about it and they said they woudln't offer me anything because there was no evidence that they caused it and said it could of been a pre-existing condition. My dog has had watery stools before occasionally but never like this (w/blood too). I know it was something from the kennel and didn't like that they were denying it. That is the first and last time I will board my dachsund there.
Cleanliness is next to Godliness. My adopted "Mom" visited this facility to see if the environment was good for me & my brother, Duke about 2 months ago. She reported back the kennel/boarding area was not clean, smelled of urine. It did have a nice big back yard to play in, staff seemed friendly, but main concern was cleanliness. The time of her visit was 11am on a weekday and the kennels hadn't been cleaned yet. She doesn't think that is healthy. The prices / services seemed to be fair "Mom" reported. "Mom" is still on the hunt for a good animal hospital that has a clean, friendly, loving environment that is near our home.

My name is Rebecca and I work at ABC Pet Resort and Spa. I love my job and have formed wonderful friendships with my fellow staff and management. Recently, there was a not so favorable review posted by someone who no longer works at ABC for whatever reasons. We have had a few employees who have left us due to the fact that we "clean too much" in their words to be exact.
ABC is known for the clean environment we provide for your pets. All dogs are kept in our temperature controlled kennel. All dogs are taken out three times daily and, at your request, your dog(s) may have frequent walks and playtimes with our wonderful TLC staff. Try our daycare. All the dogs who enter into Daycare love it and return everyday of the week. Our certified Daycare staff is the best. We offer tours and daily visits with your pet if you choose.
ABC has a lot to offer your pet(s), so instead of basing your decision on a review from an unhappy ex-employee, come on in and see for yourself.
Judge for Yourself. I Happily Did! :-). Somehow, I don't believe some of the previous bad reviews. Some of them use similar language and yes, while it is easy to fluff up your rating with good reviews from employees, it is just as easy to smear a reputation and bring down ratings with bad reviews written by disgruntled employees and employees of rival kennels. I am a current client of ABC and have no plans to change that fact. My dog receives excellent care when she is boarded. She is always clean, well-fed, and happy when I pick her up. If there is ever a medical emergency, I trust the staff at ABC to make the correct decisions. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and kind and Suzanne is a doll. I have toured the facility a few times and have not found any evidence of mistreatment of animals. Everything was sparkling clean and spit-spot. Anyway, I say go and see for yourself. In fact, go to any other kennel to compare notes. I bet you'll find ABC has the edge and deserves your business.
