Decent Lunch for Under $10 – I work near IAH and this place offers a good alternative for lunch, although I haven't eaten dinner here. It has an excellent salad bar and lunch choices that can get you out within 40 minutes. Service is attentive and friendly.

Yum. – I love this restaurant. We tend to prefer quiet places to eat, and this one usually fits the bill. We love the ambience and the steaks are delicious--I love the filet mignon. Their complimentary bread and honey butter is excellent, or you can also order their garlic cheese bread which is wonderful. I'd stay away from the cheesecake, though. Dry and very obviously not prepared on sight.

Oldie but GOODIE – Steak and Ale has been around a good long while. But if you're looking for a good place that is quiet and not TRENDY, you'll find that Steak and Ale is well worth the visit. There are plenty of steak places to see and be seen, but if you're in it for the steak, and you'd like to enjoy your company and your meal, as well as the impeccable service, Steak and Ale is your place. The steak is cooked the way you like it, the salad bar is always fresh and well stocked, the atmosphere is calming, and they are commited to service. They serve a sweet black bread while you wait, and if that's not enough, the garlic cheese bread is out of this world. If you want a steak place that feels like home, Steak and Ale delivers.
