Tips for Pappas Seafood House

Has been on my top 5 in Houston since mid 90s. I love the seafood gumbo. I think it is one of the best bowls in the city. Bloody Marys are good too. I always get great service at the bar. I sometimes go to the one on Shepard for their brick oven the others don't have. They have this Trout Almondine I had a while back that was spectacular. I enjoy the soft shell crabs here also. If you choose to add a topping sauce to your seafood, I recommend the Alexander, though I have yet to hear a complaint about these decadent toppings on your healthy grilled entree.

ARE YOU PAYING TO MUCH?.
IT'S WAS OVER PRICED .THE FOOD WAS BLAND.....SMALL SERVINGS.THE WAIT STAFF??????
IT WAS NOT VERY BUSY @ LUNCH AGAIN WAIT STAFF?????? HOSTESS WAS NICE. i DON'T THANK i WILL NOT TAKE MY CLIENTS THIER AGAIN. :-(

not as great as they say. Pappa's does have okay seafood, but being so close to the Gulf in Houston there are many more seafood restaurants with excellent food. Monument Inn by the San Jacinto Monument has the best fried shrimp in Houston.
