My wife and I play the Challenger
course most weekends, as it is picturesque, and offers a sterner test than merely hitting a straight ball. We have played the Masters, and the Presidents, and found them both to be pretty boring, especially with the removal of the bunkers.
While on that subject, if you find yourself in a greenside bunker on Challenger. Take a drop, no mere rule of golf is worth you shattering your clubhead or your wrist on the concrete they put into the bunkers on Challenger.
More than enough room for you and me.. I love this park. There are lots of hidden places you can go and have a private picnic. Plenty of trees which are great obstacles for throwing some discs. I think there could be a few more play areas. This park has great potential.
A sprawling county park replete with soccer fields, hiking trails and picnic facilities..
The 7,600-acre west side park is the perfect place to spread a blanket and casually soak up the sun for an hour. Bear Creek is also ideal for large groups. The park includes nearly three-dozen soccer fields. There are also scenic hiking and biking trails, baseball and softball fields, tennis courts, picnic facilities and several pavilions that can be reserved. A Golf World annex offers three courses.
