The Best Home Away From Home for Fido. Lady loves staying at the Best Friends Pet Resort when we must board her. We never worry about our chocolate lab Lady knowing the staff at Best Friends is her babysitter. And, twice I was running late from the airport, but they stayed open to let me pick her up. Only a real animal lover offers that type of care. Five stars for this home away from home.

WONDERFUL!!!!!!! GREAT STAFF, CLEAN FACILITY, & HAPPY PETS!!. I just got back from a trip out of the country and while I was away I boarded my 1 year old beagle at Best Friends Houston for 2 weeks. The staff there are SO GREAT! They answer any questions you have, will give you a tour of the facility if you ask and are just so friendly! They even emailed me pictures of my boy while he was in doggy day camp playing! I felt completely comfortable letting them take care of my baby while I was away. When I picked him up he was in great spirits, clean and FLEA AND TICK FREE!!!!!!! USE THIS FACILITY!!! THEY REALLY CARE ABOUT THE PETS THAT BOARD THERE!!!!

Exceptional Service!. I have taken my 4 dogs to many boarding facilties over the years and Best Friends is by far the cleanest and friendliest place to go. They happliy took me on a tour where I saw large bedrooms and even larger patios that were exclusive to each bedroom. The place smelled very clean and all of the dogs ther looked happy. Just two days after I boarded my dogs, they sent me an email with a picture of them playing in the yards. I didnt ask for playtimes and wasn't charged so when I inquired about it they said they didn't have many dogs boarding at the time so they took them out for exercise for free! This place is wonderful and I reccomend it to all my friends. I have never had any flea or tick issues from them but I play it smart and get a bath before they come home. And by the way, the cancellation policy only applies to holidays and you have 72 hours proir to the board to get a full refund.

Beware. We left our dog for six days. I gave them seven individual daily portions of food in zipper seal bags plus two treats per day; all with her name on each bag. They said they ran out of food on the fifth day. The REAL ISSUE was the TICK infestation. Upon picking her up we discovered ticks. We found ten to begin. Then after bathing her with flea and tick shampoo we found more. We took her to the vet to get bathed. They found seven more. It did not end there. This dog has never had any fleas or ticks. She had deer ticks as well as the smaller variety. She is an indoor dog, the yard was treated six weeks ago, she had been bathed by the vet one month ago, and she was just at the vet prior to, literally the day before, taking her to this stay. The staff was nice. We did not ask to see where dogs are kept. These are the facts. You decide.

Crappy customer service. I was initially happy to recommend Best Friends for boarding, however that is no longer the case. The policy for cancellation is very unfair & when confronted for a reconsideration - the female manager was very unhelpful! I made a reservation one week prior to drop-off & when I tried to cancel the reservation 5 days prior to drop-off (only 2 business days later)...I was told my $75.00 deposit was non-refundable! The policy is that you must cancel 1 week in advance, however that would mean I would have had to cancel the same day as the reservation was made! This policy is their cheap attempt to swindle people out of a deposit & I find it very petty. My deposit could be credited for future use, however that obligates me to future use & I again feel 'trapped.' I completely understand that a cancellation policy is important, however 72 hours would be sufficient & better flexibility for patrons. I expect better customer service for a high-end boarding operation & I hope they learn from my loss of business. Don't be unlucky like me!
