In Short – After more than three decades at the original Memorial location, Hungry's now features a larger dining room with the same menu of dependable favorites. Soup and salad or sandwich combos are perfect for lunch. Burgers and bistro salads are complemented by Greek and Mediterranean entrees (hummus, gyros and kabob plates) and Southwestern pasta and chicken dishes. Lunch specials change daily while brunch on the enclosed patio is a weekend treat. Full bar. –
What happened to my Hungry's?!

I used to go to Hungry's a lot before the moved closer to Dairy Ashford - the food was perfect everytime, the service outstanding, etc.
I went to the newly relocated Hungry's on Memorial last night with my fiance and it was a pretty bad expereince. First off, we ordered their Jalapeno Hummus, which literally tasted like a petting zoo smelled - no lie. It was terrible! My fiance ordered the Capellini Marianara and Pesto and I ordered the Chicken Romana. After what seemed like forever, the food finally came out - her plate was missing the Pesto and I was given meatloaf. We quickly told them about the errors, and just figured it was because they were pretty busy. Another fifteen minutes pass and our food comes back. My plate was hot, and when I ate the chicken, I was immediately grossed out because of how extremely COLD it was - it's very unsettling to eat "leftovers" during a dining experience. Also, I thought the chicken was supposed to be topped with actual artichokes and spinach like the menu said, NOT spinach and artichoke dip - not a good combo. We told our server about the COLDNESS of the food, and she offered to "reheat it." Uh, I lost my appetite right then and there.
What happened? Hungry's used to be so much better than this!
- Pros: Great food, decent prices
- Cons: Questionable service
overpriced, food was awful!

After reading the reviews on this site I went here with high expectations, and I was extremely disappointed. I love the Hungry's Rice Village location and recommend that you visit that one - though the prices may be about the same, the food most definitely is not. This location had decent service, but they served me food that was spoiled. I say it is overpriced because the food was almost inedible, and I think paying anything (let alone $15) for a meal that I can barely digest constitutes being overcharged.

We read the reviews on this site, (mainly positive) and decided to give it a try for Sunday Brunch. We were not happy. The mimosas are 6 dollars and have almost no champagne in them (yes, that's 6 bucks for a glass of juice) and our food was just not worth the trip. My husband's burrito was tasty but SMALL. Everything on the plate was small (fruit, black beans, burrito). We paid 5.95 for an adult waffle for my son and it was tiny with a little bit of a sliced banana and a couple of strawberry pieces and overcooked to the point of being dry and crunchy. We added bacon for another two dollars (now we're up to 7.95 for a waffle and some bacon) and it was GREASY and way overcooked. When I asked for some that was not too done it came out quite quickly but that was because they had deep fried it in the fryer - terrible texture and dripping in grease.....(I know bacon is greasy, this went waaaaaay beyond acceptable - I had to sop it with my napkin). My eggs benedict were cold (ice cold), one of the poached eggs was still raw on the egg white, the potatos were still crunchy from not being cooked enough and they were cold (entire plate was cold). My husband said his food was cold (something that is not a big deal to him) but by comparison it was way hotter than mine. We were trying to locate our waitress at this point but she was busy sitting at another table rolling silver and talking to other servers. My husband let me have a few bites of his food (I really didn't want to try anything else) and then we went to our local Carrabba's by our house to have a real lunch. Never a bad time there. Here's the thing, we are not that picky. All I want is fully cooked, hot food with a waiter. I work in this business and eat in bars and 5 star restaurants - wherever the food is good, sometimes sacrificing good service for good food. I just have to tell you, this place has neither.
- Pros: Easy to get in......
- Cons: Everything else
