Liberty from Massage Morons. THE TIME, it is to be hoped, is gone by, when any defence would be necessary of the "liberty of the press" as one of the securities against corrupt or tyrannical government. No argument, we may suppose, can now be needed, against permitting a legislature or an executive, not identified in interest with the people, to prescribe opinions to them, and determine what doctrines or what arguments they shall be allowed to hear. This aspect of the question, besides, has been so often and so triumphantly enforced by preceding writers, that it needs not be specially insisted on in this place. Though the law of England, on the subject of the press, is as servile to this day as it was in the time of the Tudors, there is little danger of its being actually put in force against political discussion, except during some temporary panic, when fear of insurrection drives ministers and judges from their propriety; 1 and, speaking generally, it is not, in constitutional countries, to be apprehended, that the government, whether completely responsible to the people or not, will often attempt to control the expression of opinion, except when in doing so it makes itself the organ of the general intolerance of the public. Let us suppose, therefore, that the government is entirely at one with the people, and never thinks of exerting any power of coercion unless in agreement with what it conceives to be their voice. But I deny the right of the people to exercise such coercion, either by themselves or by their government. The power itself is illegitimate. The best government has no more title to it than the worst. It is as noxious, or more noxious, when exerted in accordance with public opinion, than when in opposition to it. If all mankind minus one, were of one opinion, and only one person were of the contrary opinion, mankind would be no more justified in silencing that one person, than he, if he had the power, would be justified in silencing mankind. Were an opinion a personal possession of no value except to the owner; if to be obstructed in the enjoyment of it were simply a private injury, it would make some difference whether the injury was inflicted only on a few persons or on many. But the peculiar evil of silencing the expression of an opinion is, that it is robbing the human race; posterity as well as the existing generation; those who dissent from the opinion, still more than those who hold it. If the opinion is right, they are deprived of the opportunity of exchanging error for truth: if wrong, they lose, what is almost as great a benefit, the clearer perception and livelier impression of truth, produced by its collision with error.
liberty and liberals. Like other tyrannies, the tyranny of the majority was at first, and is still vulgarly, held in dread, chiefly as operating through the acts of the public authorities. But reflecting persons perceived that when society is itself the tyrant — society collectively over the separate individuals who compose it — its means of tyrannizing are not restricted to the acts which it may do by the hands of its political functionaries. Society can and does execute its own mandates; and if it issues wrong mandates instead of right, or any mandates at all in things with which it ought not to meddle, it practices a social tyranny more formidable than many kinds of political oppression, since, though not usually upheld by such extreme penalties, it leaves fewer means of escape, penetrating much more deeply into the details of life, and enslaving the soul itself. Protection, therefore, against the tyranny of the magistrate is not enough; there needs protection also against the tyranny of the prevailing opinion and feeling, against the tendency of society to impose, by other means than civil penalties, its own ideas and practices as rules of conduct on those who dissent from them; to fetter the development and, if possible, prevent the formation of any individuality not in harmony with its ways, and compel all characters to fashion themselves upon the model of its own. There is a limit to the legitimate interference of collective opinion with individual independence; and to find that limit, and maintain it against encroachment, is as indispensable to a good condition of human affairs as protection against political despotism
The mission of the Campaign for Liberty is to promote and defend the great American principles of individual liberty, constitutional government, sound money, free markets, and a noninterventionist foreign policy, by means of educational and political activity.
We all loved Ronald Reagan. Ronald Reagan is an American hero, as evidenced by the enormous national outpouring of affection and respect that accompanied his recent death. Former President Ronald Reagan is revered as an honest, charismatic, effective, and principled leader. Here are some books and videos that capture the spirit of the man.

I would like this chance to express to everyone who contemplates buying salon software, or anything for that matter, that search engine domination does not translate into quality. It means nothing more than deep advertising pockets especially on google. For aknaf software, it is nothing more than smoke and mirrors with the hope that anyone in need will be dazzled by the top rankings and sponsor link position.
Advantage software is incredibly sub par and yes, i have had to call their 888 number more often than a customer should because of problems. While tech support was part of my contract, I received marginal help from the owner and his staff. Once the support ran out, I was promptly reminded by the owner (Fawzi I believe) that I needed to purchase extra tech support to solve my issue. I ruminated over the idea of doing this since the help I had received previously was less than enthusiastic nor time efficient at best. However, I was already in it for the long haul. I bought the programs needed for my salon from AKNAF and knew that only they were going to be able to assist regardless of their inferiority. So I bought tech support! BIG MISTAKE! Now the staff is nonexistant and when I call the owner, I am greeted with a terse reception followed by a ridiculous amount of time on hold. It was as if nothing changed when I bought extra tech support. I would have had more fun taking a match to my money and watching it burn then providing them, once again, with my credit card number.
The moral of this story is do your research and save yourself the heartache down the road!! Don't think that just because a business is ranked high in the major search engines that they must be the best. It means their pay per click budget is greater than anyone else who is selling the same type of product. For God's sake check the lesser search engines, yellow pages, your local Chamber of Commerce, and the BBB and always read testimonials. Even the slightest red flag should give you pause before diving head first because if my experience were in the literal sense, I would have cracked my skull open on a rock because the water was very shallow...so is the aknaf software owner for that matter.
Lastly, I should point out how interesting it is the owner of AKNAF has changed the name and address half a dozen times to fly under the radar. They have upset too many customers, just look at ripoff report and the bbb.
This customer owes East West Inc over 2480.00 and therefore has made these false accusations because we sent his account to a collection agency and they are filing a lawsuite to collect for past due funds. Dont beleive everything you read espeically the extortionists at the BBB this company has 2 complaints from the BBB in the last 3 years. One from this bitter person last news is going to file bankruptcy.
Great deals. Great deals on everything to do with liberty. A socialist, liberal and progressive defines liberty as being connected to the reasonably equitable distribution of wealth, arguing that the unrestrained concentration of wealth (the means of production) into only a few hands negates liberty. In other words, without relatively equal ownership, the subsequent concentration of power and influence into a small portion of the population inevitably results in the domination of the wealthy and the subjugation of the poor. Thus, freedom and material equality are seen as intrinsically connected. On the other hand, the classical liberal argues that wealth cannot be evenly distributed without force being used against individuals which reduces individual liberty
