“It is a place you go for great italian food at a reasonable price.”
Popular lunch and takeout spot west of Bellaire for homemade pastas, Latin sandwiches and imported grocery items..
A favorite of Houston's South American community, this casual café with the paper plates provides affordable lunchtime options and dinnertime takeout. Sandwiches include sausage, meatball or beef Milanesa. Sample savory empanadas or homemade pasta (spaghetti, fettuccine or ravioli) topped with tomato sauce or pesto. Pastries and baked goods (including those made with dulce de leche caramel sauce) are made fresh daily. The grocery shelves at the back of the restaurant stock a variety of Italian-South American staples.
Very authentic. My dad use to take me here all the time. Very authentic argentine cuisine. Great sandwiches, empanadas, and milanesea. Perfect for food togo.
Best Cheap Italian Food. This is not a place you go to for nice looks. It is a place you go for great italian food at a reasonable price. When you first arrive, it may look like a whole in the wall place, but don't let that fool you. Giannotti's has excellent pasta and sandwiches. The pasta to go is also great. This is a restaurant with a relaxing atmosphere and great food.
Not like an Argentine place AT ALL!!!. A hovel, small, dark, musty, humid. Prices are too expensive for what you get. Feels NOTHING like a good argentine restaurant... or maybe a low class, poor quality place in Lomas de Zamora... nothing like a refined, well kept restaurant I am accustomed to in Buenos Aires.
Really good, Che'. For anyone who loves good Argentinean food, there's no place better. The small restaurant and market remind you of Argentina.
