Terrible!!! Avoid this restaurant!!!. I am not a complainer and this is the first restaurant I've ever reviewed but I felt that others should be warned. The "filet mignot" was a pathetic, cold, grissely piece of meat. When I complained they acted like I was the problem. They said "you already ate most of it" when I had only had two or three bites. They obviously don't know what a filet is supposed to look like or taste like. Only after too much exhausting conversation did they offer to cook me ANOTHER one. Since I didn't trust that the second would be any different based on what they said, I declined and just decided to never set foot in there again and to make sure my friends knew.

best of the best <3. I live far from Luigi's but i would be more then happy to drive over there any day. We took my dad for his birthday and we had the best time there. Everybody is super sweet and genuine friendly. I have to say that the margaritas where the best! If you ever go you must try them. That night we had pizza and by far the best i have ever had. The price is also a great thing we all had dinner for around 50 buck. That feed a family of six. I give Luigi's five stars.

Love Luigi's & tell Miguel that Kory sent you.. I've been there many times and had our wedding dinner banquet there. The food is great, Miguel is an awesome guy and always takes care of me. These guys are like family once you get to know them. Love the pizza and get take out very often. Highly recommend doing banquets but they fill up quickly around the holidays. I wished they still had live music more like they do from time to time but it just reminds me of a quaint romantic neighborhood Italian restaurant and that's what it is. Enjoy and look up Miguel and tell him I said to take good care of you.

Great Place!. My boyfriend and I just visited Luigi's tonight. This was our 1st visit and we just fell in love with the place. The waitstaff is very attentive and so friendly. My boyfriend had the seafood combo which had pasta, scallops, lobster tails, shrimp, mussels. He was very satisfied with his meal. I had lasagna and it was delightful. We will definitely be coming back.

really good genuine Italian. Stopped by for something different this evening and the pasta was fabulous! The chicken piccata and the canoli more than made up for the questionable salad and the previuously mentioned ceiling tiles.

Not very good food for the price. We ate there last night and it was terrible. I have never had such a bad salad. It was simply lettuce, tomato and a few slivers of carrots with watered down salad dressing. The cream sause on the pasta had a funny after taste (like the salad dresing). It seemed to also be watered down. I thought it might be me, so I tasted others salad dressings and entrees. The tomato suase on my food was also watered down. The waitstaff was nice, slow but nice. It will be my fisrt and last visit to Luigi's. I am Italian and from New York, this is not good Italian food.

The Best and Most Friendly Restaurant Ever!. Luigi's is a great place for pizza and pasta and also calmari! The pizza tastes just like New York and New Jersey pizza! I am from New Jersey and it reminds me of home. If you want the best pizza in all of Texas. Try Luigi's Ristorante & Pizzeria.

NEVER GO THERE AGAIN. This restuarant needs to be sold to somebody who knows how to run a restuarant! Need to do something different!

Best Italian food on the North West side of Houston. This is the picturesque italian restaurant from the neighborhood. It is a great place for romantic ambiance and delicious food. The alfredo sauce is out of this world good! They have a awesome selection of medditerian wines. If youlike Italian food, are in the area, then this is a can't miss type of place.

Are we talking about the same restaurant?. We could not possibly be talking about the same place. I guess things have really gone down hill in the 3 years since the last review.

Luigi's is located in a strip center and has the ambience as such. It's fairly sparse inside with the ceiling tiles you would expect in an office. It's kind of small with a bar off to the back right. Real Italian music is playing throughout the restaurant, which is a plus. Unfortunately, this was drowned out by soccer on the TV and an employee's game commentary.

Our server had quite a bit of difficulty understanding our orders. I was hoping this was a sign of Italian authenticity. I was in a group of four and we ordered: Shrimp Scampi, Imperial Shrimp, Shrimp Portifino, and Lasagna. I selected ziti as my side pasta.

After about 1/2 hour we received our dinner salads. Very plain. Iceberg lettuce with some grated carrot and Kraft Italian Dressing. After about another 1/2 hour we finally got our entrees. The Shrimp Portifino was 5 medium/small shrimp in a broken cream sauce. I've never gotten a separated sauce in a restaurant before. It came with overcooked zucchini and spaghetti (not my ziti). The red sauce on the pasta was the most pathetic I've ever had. It tasted like tomato puree with no spices or seasoning or anything. The Imperial Shrimp had two huge shrimp that were unfortunately overcooked and tough. The Shrimp Scampi was "ok, but a little to much lemon.". The Lasagna was liked by the the one who ordered it.

So, the worst Italian meal I've ever eaten out was $85 for four, not including tip.

I will never, ever go back... or eat any other place with "Luigi" in the restaurant name... just in case.
